Typically error code E4A indicates program timeout fault or the max time exceeded for that cycle. A professional normally checks for anything that would extend dry times such as: no heat, restricted vent, blower fan blade broken or loose, dryer installed in closed with solid door, faulty connection in moisture sensor bar circuit. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair your dryer.

I understand that you are receiving an E4A error code on your Frigidaire dryer. I do not show an E4A error code for your appliance. I do have an EA4 error code which states improper home wiring. The other possibility is that this could be a false error code. I suggest resetting your dryer, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. When you restore power, start any cycle on your dryer. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your washer status has changed successfully. The Transistors just need the code 2S added to the front of them. Grandata did have the 2SD2390 at just £2.00 plus P&P. They don't seem to have the 2SB1650, in my catalogue, but they could now (2005 catalogue).
If you get an Ohm meter (one to do this job would not be expensive) and connect it accros the transistors you will soon know if a short has occured. As it will act like you have just touch the probes together. You should replace both transistors in each channel that has failed even if only one has gone, to be on the safe side. The only thing else likely to go is bias resistors. A check with the meter will tell you if any has gone, again look for shorts where you wouldn't expect any to be.

they are a Driver Transistors 2SD718 & a 2SB688, these are Complimentary, PNP & NPN power transistors. try Radio shack, or your local parts supplier they are quite common and have replacements, equivalents too. google for them.

Try checking the dryer vent to the outside . It should almost feel like a blowdryer for hair . You have some kind of blockage.

this is a line voltage error. press the cancel button for three seconds un plug the unit and have the main power plug checked for the proper voltage and insure that your wires are correct on your dryer

It may be a mosfet in the power supply section that is blown. These parts are usually available from electronics part suppliers. Or it may be one of the amplifer transistors that is blown and it will also usually be available from parts suppliers. This fault is usually caused by battery voltage dropping to low so the amplifers output starts to clip and put D.C on the mosfets causing them to blow.

Your best bet would be to contact EV. Search for either EV or Telex. Telex will be easier to find and contact the repair department. Ask for the part availability and cost. They are very helpful there. Please let them know the model number as well.

There are many different ways that an amp can fail but the two most common failures are shorted output transistors and blown power supply transistors (< those are not blown). There are several types of protection circuits in amplifiers. The most common are over-current and thermal. The over-current protection is supposed to protect the output transistors. Sometimes it doesn't work well enough to prevent the failure of the output transistors but it will work well enough to shut the supply down before the power supply FETs are destroyed. If the amp remains in protect mode, goes into protect mode or blows the fuse as soon as the remote voltage is applied, shorted output transistors are almost certainly the cause. If the fuse protecting the amp is too large, if the protection circuit doesn't respond quickly enough or if the power supply is poorly designed, the power supply transistors may fail. If you see a lot of black soot on the power supply transistors (near the power transformer), the power supply transistors have failed. Soot on the board doesn't necessarily mean the transistors have failed. Sometimes, technicians don't clean up the mess from a previous failure. Transistor Failure/Checking Transistors:
In general, when a transistor fails, it will either short (common for output AND power supply transistors) or open (common for power supply transistors). Transistors act like valves. They control the current flowing through a circuit. A shorted transistor acts like a valve that's stuck open (passing too much current). In the case of an output transistor, the shorted transistors tries to deliver the full rail voltage to the speaker output terminal. If you've ever seen a damaged amp that pushed or pulled the speaker cone to its limits when the amp powered up (common on some Rockford amplifiers), that was almost certainly due to a shorted output transistor. When checking transistors, you most commonly look for shorted connections inside the transistor. You do this by using a multimeter to look for low resistance connections between the transistor's terminals.

Seems as you have blown an output. Seek repairs.
