SOURCE: Uniden Bearcat BC 350A scanner won't pick up 800 channels

You BC350A provides coverage of popular bands between 29 and 512MHz, so it is not capable of receiving signals in the 800MHz range. Sorry, but you'll need a different scanner to follow the action.

What is causing the scanner to stick on a channel?

Did you change the squelch while the scanner stops? even what looks like noise, can stop the scanner from going to the next frequency.

My uniden bearcat 50 channel 800mhz stop the police, fire ect.. and only gives me weather.. why? can you help ?

  • You can try pressing "Manual" and then "Scan" or "Band" buttons from the weather setting to get you back to scanning the police, fire, etc.
  • Make sure you don't have a WX (Weather) frequency programmed into on of the regular 50 channels or the scanner will continue to stop every time around as it will pick up the WX frequency.
  • Make sure you have your scanner programmed as well.

Scanner frequency for Villa rica, Ga. police

If you have access to a computer go to www.scanatlanta.com and click on scanner frequencies, when the map of GA comes up, click on your county, which I think would be carrol and they have all the county and city frequencies listed.
