SOURCE: Have a Rona electronic lock (Weiser) and the key

First, I fix this problem after an hour of try.

I conclude that this dorr lock is better that is appear. Is not a 2 codes door lock, it's a 3 codes one.. and the problem you have is the third code not reset. You can put the same code in each third emplacement. you have just to press the program button 3 time for the third code...

I determinate that I put the third code by error the was i program it the firs time.

;-)

I guide you...

  1. To program the first code, press the reset button once, then enter your 4-8 digit code on the exterior keypad, then immediately press the middle lock button on the exterior keypad. You will hear a beep. This signals that your code has been accepted.
  2. To program the second code, press the reset button twice , then enter your 4-8 digit code on the exterior keypad, then immediately press the middle lock button on the exterior keypad. You will hear a beep. This signals that your code has been accepted.
  3. To program the third code, press the reset button 3 time, then enter your 4-8 digit code on the exterior keypad, then immediately press the middle lock button on the exterior keypad. You will hear a beep. This signals that your code has been accepted.

SOURCE: Why do my weiser smart key locks turn to the 3 o'clock position?

I looked at the Weiser site and although it describes the method of re-keying the locks it doesn't make it clear whether the key can be removed in the 3 o'clock position without the learning tool being inserted.
If the key can be removed in that position it would seem it would only need the key to be reinserted and the lock turned back, though somehow I doubt it as that would rather defeat the object and mean you wouldn't have to keep changing the locks.

Whatever the cause is, it would seem either one of the staff or one of the residents is having a game with you, perhaps they have seen this youtube video...

Testimonial: "Thank you Vernon. Seeing how easy it can be force turned is interesting."

How do I replace batteries in weiser keysless lock?

Not sure on a Weiser but on mine there are small Allen screws on each side of the cover that have to be removed that allow the cover to be removed.

I hve had the lock for 10 years & now the bolt will not engage or disengage when codes are entered. Gear spins but bolt does not react.

Weiser has a one year warranty against electronic malfunction and a lifetime warranty against mechanical and finish problems. Yours sounds like a mechanical problem.

You can review their warranty and contact them for further assistance from this link:

Good luck!

Changed the batteries but the Weiser keypad lock keeps beeping

Mine did that too for a month. Make sure all the batteries are new alkaline batteries of the same brand, and remove them for a few minutes (if already installed) and replace them in the unit. I reset my code as well afterword. Did the trick for me.

How do I reprogram the entry code for weiser automatic powerbolt lock?

  • Remove the inner cover plate from the lock.
  • Locate the small round reset button near the left side of the circuit board (Red or Black).
  • To program, press the reset button once, then enter your 4-8 digit code on the exterior keypad, then immediately press the middle lock button on the exterior keypad. You will hear a beep. This signals that your code has been accepted.
  • To enter a second code, follow the same procedures as in step 3, but this time press the reset button twice then enter your code.
best of luck.

Constant beeping

It sounds like the lock master reset might have been inadvertantly pushed when the coverplate was removed at some point. I would suggest you remove the batteries, reinstall them and reset the lockset and enter in new pass codes (you can use the same ones as before, if you wish).

I've attached the owner's manual, just in case you've misplaced yours, so you can reprogram the lockset and have the instructions for future use and reference.

http://www.smarthomeusa.com/Products/ED1460XXXX/manuals/WeiserLockPowerbolt1000-manual.pdf

Just so you know, Weiser and Kwikset were once the same company and offerred the same lock under both names, so don't worry about the manual having the Weiser brand name on it.

Hope you find this Very Helpful - Best regards!

Weiser and Kwik set both sold and marketed the same lock under their own brand names, as Weiser was the manufacturer, these instructions apply for your lock set.
