Are you sure you don't have a Heat Pump Condenser? You don't list the outdoor unit M#? If it is a Heat Pump system the outdoor unit has to run. Here is the link to the indoor unit. http://enora.nortekhvac.com/literature/a977a.pdf

SOURCE: HEAT PUMP/AIR CONDITIONER UNIT SMELLS ONLY WHEN AIR IS ON

Not sure what the smell...smells like.  My guess is dirt or dust near the heating elements.  These will cause a burning smell.  Sometimes insects even get into the act..building webs.
You will have to clean that area out...sometimes a large blower or vac can dislodge the dust.

SOURCE: TCL model tac 24chs/k air conditioner is leaking from the

You will want to remove the panel in front of the air handler, usually a few 5/16 screws.
Once open then with a flashlight look down inside where the water collects in the condensate drain pan.
Verify that the pan is not full of water or algae build up.
If it is, then attach a wet vac to your drain outside and while it is pulling on the drain line spray some water inside till it is fully clean.
If it is not full of water then check the pvc pipes that are attached to the drain pan, they may have came loose and may need to be teflon taped and reconnected to the pan. Also verify there are no cracks in the pan.
Lastly inspect the bottom of the evaporator coil (Not the top) pull out the filter and make sure the coil is clean or water could drip down past the pan into your dwelling. Make sure as well that the insulation on your panel that covers the unit is intact and not worn away.

Good Luck!

I bought a new thermostat that requires a C wire. I have a spare wire in the cable that goes from my thermostat to my air handler. It's a Model B3BM-O36K-B Frigidaire model air handler.

At your AHU there may be a terminal block that has a C terminal. If not, you will need to locate C. Your outdoor units control wire should have 1 that connects to the Y signal allowing 24v to pass from Y at the t-stat to a wirenut at the air handler, from that wirenut to the contactor. And C comes from the contactor to a wirenut at the airhandler and to C side of transformer. Common wire colors from o.d.unit are red=24v and White from the o.d. unit, (NOT THE WHITE FROM T-STAT!) is the common. The transformer may also have a tag/sticker that states 24v and common with a color of wire for C. And if the t-stat takes batteries that you need to install, you shouldn't need C wired in. C is there so you don't need batteries, if it has a battery option.

What year was this model made?

Your unit (B3BV-036K-BB) is a Westinghouse / Nordyne Unit.
Vertical Flow only, 36,000 BTU, 208/230 volts.
You cannot tell the manufacture date from a model number, only from the serial number. Try contacting manufacture with the serial number...

You need to program with installation instructions. Press fan & up button @ the same time for a few seconds & go through the installer menu that comes with the thermostat to set it up for heat pump.

Yes, we have a fridgidaire FAC127S1A Model and we installed it today and are having trouble with it leaking water once it runs for a while. (The hole on the under side of the A/C.) Is this normal or is it...

If the water is leaking to the outside, that is normal. Especially if, the humidity is high outside.

If it's leaking to the inside. No, that's not normal and is due to improper installation. The rear of the unit should tilt down about 1/4" , to allow the water to drain outside via the drain pan hole.

To help you further, I have included a link to the Owner's Manual for your FAC127S1A model air conditioner. You can download and print it for future reference.

You have a different unit listed from the header unit. The above site can take you to a site that has one of the manuals. Look in the box on the right and download the Danby unit manual. You can also browse to see if the other one is there too.

Size

Greetings jdreisbaugh,

The tonnage is usually found on the name plate on the condensing unit outside. 12000 btu = 1 ton, 24000 = 2 ton and so forth. In your case the unit is 36000 btu, therefore a 3 ton.

I hope this helps!
