If your Olympus VN-6200PC digital voice recorder is not turning on, even when it's not plugged into a computer, there could be a few different reasons. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

  1. Check the batteries: Make sure that the batteries are inserted correctly and that they have enough power. If the batteries are low or dead, the device may not function properly. Try replacing the batteries with fresh ones.
  2. Check the power switch: Make sure that the power switch is in the correct position and that it's not stuck.
  3. Check the firmware: Make sure that the device's firmware is up to date.
  4. Try a factory reset: Some devices have a factory reset option that can be accessed through the menu or by holding down certain buttons. This will erase all data on the device, but it may fix some software issues.
  5. Check the charging port: Make sure that the charging port on the device is clean and free of debris.
  6. Contact Olympus customer support: If you have tried all the above steps and the device is still not turning on, it may be best to contact Olympus customer support for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose and fix the issue or tell you if a repair is needed.
It's important to keep in mind that the Olympus VN-6200PC is an older model device, which makes it harder to find replacement parts and professional repair services.

sometimes if the mp3 is very cold or if it has been completely drained from battery it will do that, first try using a charger that you might have for your car, or something that you can charge it from a wall outlet.

My olympus fe-46 won't connect to my pc

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.
