Jensen 5000 media pro with MP3 dvd. worked fine until attempt to play dvd last evening and err disc msg. keeps coming up
Try another disc to play on the player. Play the disc with some free player programs on your computer to see where the issue is, from the disc or from the player. Sometimes it's because the discs have been damaged and sometimes it's because of the region code of the disc and in this case, you would need a region free player such as Leawo Blu-ray Player.
Have you tried other disc's

The laser eye is tired(out of alignment) from playing alot of burned disc. Have some one who know re-align it. Goodluck.

I had the same problem with the whole radio itself. It would play fine for about 2 mins and then it would quit and the blue backround would stay on the screen. I took it out of the wall and took the fuse out and put a new one in. It played fine for about 2 mins and then the same thing happened. The fuse was still good. Phoned the dealer and switched the radio. works fine now.

call support from manufacturer on how to reset your player,
For instance, on Samsung players after it is powered on you hold in both channel buttons for 10 sec and the player restarts. that fixed mine that had the same problem

When Your DVD shows "LOADING" for quite some time and then if shows "UNKNOWN DISC" or "NO DISC", Open the cover of your DVD Player, Remove the flap over the disc by opening the screws. Remember that you are not keeping your eyes perpendicular to the lens. Now take Colin liquid in an ear buds and rub over the lens. Now with dry end of the bud, rinse it and make it dry. Keep the disc in the space provided for. Put on the Flap over the disc. And try to run it. I hope this would work fine.
