If you can't get a replacement under warranty there is both an T-Mobile G1 Repair Guide and a third party T-Mobile G1 Repair Service, If you try a self-repair make sure you feel comfortable with opening devices that are not meant to be user serviceable.

I would reccomend checking Ebay for parts or a broken phone like your for parts. Just read the product descriptions carefully and ime sure you could find one.

The digitizer runs around $40. If HTC doesn't help you, here's a guide on how to disassemble an HTC G1. Maybe a tech savy friend can do it for you. If you want to pay to have a service do it for you there are third party HTC Repair Services.

I took the phone apart and repaired it the lcd and the digitzer. My g1 isnt showing a picture I have lines on the screen . I just put a new lcd screen .What do you think
you may have to reboot your g1.....don't hard reset that will erase everything from your sim card ...try wiping you camera lens with a cloth and check your photos ..if that doesn't work then maybe you had a bad repair tech

You can try to do it yourself, there is a T-Mobile G1 Repair Guide and the parts are available on Ebay. If all elese fails there are third party T-Mobile G1 Repair Services but that can be quite pricey.

Sorry to say, but your G1's LCD screen is broken. It will need to be replaced. The screen can be replaced. Or HTC can "repair" the phone for a small fee of $238.00(unless there is more broken than the LCD).
