there is a fuel pump jumper pigtail with a green plastic cover that if you run a power wire to it and the pump keeps running then it could be a fuel pump relay as you have bypassed the relay by doing this. if it doesn`t run then the fuel pump is the problem and needs replacing.
It sounds like it is a jet pump in a deep well. You probably will have to pull the foot valve and clean or replace it. Because of cost I would suggest getting a qualified repair person to check it out.
That is a thermal sensor that is keeping the motor from catching on fire. Usually caused by a failure in the windings due to excessive heat or ants/bugs (really). At 4 years I would recommend replacing the pump altogether rather than replacing the motor. In the 18 years I have been wrenching on pool equipment I learned years ago that repairing a PB4-60 is throwing good money after bad, because more repairs will be forthcoming in the months to follow. Collectively these repairs will exceed the price of a new pump. It is not a very difficult DIY, but if it is beyond your comfort level a pool pro should be able to install a new pump for about $400. Don't pay much more than that. Then you will have a good long term solution, but always remember that the main pump must be running while the booster pump is, and keep the bugs away. BTW one of my customers has this pump, installed in 1997, runs like the day it was put in.
The pump could have still went out. Spray a little starter fluid in the throttle and have some to start it. If it starts keep spaying it a little to keep it running. If it cut off, then most likely the pump or filter need to be changed. Or a fuel pump relay keeping the pump from kicking on. Usually you can open your gas cap and have someone to just turn the ignition on while you listen at the gas hole for a faint or buzzing type sound. This is letting you know the pump is kicking on.
Seems like 80-85psi is too much supply pressure. I would adjust the pressure switch on your well pump. If it's a 1 horse pump or so- you should be able to go buy a new pressure switch that is pre-set for about $20.
how pressure will it build does the pump stey running or does the pressure switch kick out ? if u hear a click and pump stops u need to adjust pressure switch so it will go higher or get a new switch switches are rated like 20-50 20-60 what is ur switch rated for ? if the switch doesn't kick out and pump just keeps running and running u either have a bad pump or ur sucking air
