SOURCE: Filter broke off in the holder

I have recently had to remove one that the end cap had broken off but I don't think you will be able to get this one out. You will need to replace the filter housing. It's not hard to do. You just need to get the part, pull the 2 screws holding it in along with the wire off to the left side, remove the water hoses and install the new housing.

SOURCE: how do u replace water filter on samsung

The water filter in the extra space behind the vegetable Bin.

1) As shown, the fixed cap separates from the refrigerator by rotating
it counterclockwise.
Remove the water filter from the box and put a month indicator
sticker on the filter as shown on the next page.
2) The water filter should be replaced every six months, so if the filter
was installed in March (for example), put on the "SEP" sticker
to remind you to change the filter.
3) Remove the protective cap, then position and insert the
filter as shown.
4) Slowly turn the water filter clockwise 90º to align
the indication mark on the cover, locking the filter in position.

Or go here bottom of page 24 top of 25.

SOURCE: We had a new Samsung RS267TDWP side-by-side frig

It takes approx. 24 hours for a freezer to reach optimal temperature and to stabilize, only because in a 24 hour period the machine will shut off about three times for it's defrost cycle, but like you listed, freezing temperature will be reached in about 6 hours.

Water won't flow, water line clear and has water running thru it....

Then you have to replace the water filter of the refrigerator. It is having some blockage that is why water is not flowing in it.
Filters situated in the interior liner of the refrigerator compartment of samsung-built side-by-side refrigerators are relatively simple to replace. Follow these steps:
  1. Remove the old filter by grasping it and slowly making a one quarter turn to the left.
  2. Pull down gently on the filter to remove it from the mounting bracket assembly. Be careful to not tip the filter, as water may spill out of it.
  3. Discard used filter.
  4. Remove the new filter from its packaging. Apply the appropriate month sticker to the filter to remind yourself to change it again in six months' time.
  5. Fill the filter with water from the tap, and then line the arrow on the filter up with the arrow on the cartridge holder inside your refrigerator.
  6. The filter automatically pulls itself into position as you turn the filter to the right and lock it in place. Be careful to not over tighten the filter into position.
  7. Run water through your dispenser for about three minutes to clear the system. Keep in mind that a newly installed water filter could initially cause water to spurt from the dispenser.
Water by Culligan filter cartridges need to have a water filter adapter installed. This is a one time installment, and once you have this adapter installed, it stays in the refrigerator for all future filter replacements. If your refrigerator already has this adapter in place, do not remove it to replace the filter.
Smart Water filter cartridges do not require the use of the water filter adapter. If for some reason your refrigerator has an adapter in place already, you will have to remove it before installing a Smart Water filter cartridge. The adapter is removed in the same manner as the filter itself: with a gentle quarter turn to the left.
Note: Replacing this type of filter is a quick process - there is no need to unplug your refrigerator when replacing it. Also, this filter should be replaced every six months.
Hope this was helpful to you. Thank you for using fixya.

Water filter holder

http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200709/20070915083700656_DA99-01583A-EN.pdf this is the link for your manual, look at page 38 and that shows where your filter is located on the unit. I personally have bypassed my filter and installed a higher quality inline filter in the back of the refrigerator my self. The first reason being is that I for one had the inline filter on my older one and the second is that i have several still ready for replacing. and third they are less exspensive for me to but. GOOD lUCK
