My Polaroid TV remote "ok" button not working :( Can I reset the box?

Check the remote control for its infra-red emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check by pressing all the buttons on it; and see whether all of it generates infrared signal while pressing. If you are using the built-in DVD tray, press TV (in case you have a Cable Set-top box). Then press Input and navigate with the up/down keys to the line labeled DVD. Then press OK. Finally press play on the Polaroid TDA-03211C remote or on the side of the TV. The remote play button is in the center of the row below the row with skip reverse and skip forward buttons.

If you are using a different DVD player, press the input button and then the up/down arrows to get to the input for your DVD player. Then press the DVD button to control the DVD player.

If you are using a universal remote control, then you may need to program it to the TV and the DVD player separately. (Some universal remotes may only support the TV functions of this TV.) Make sure that your universal remote has an input button that works. You may need to try multiple codes for Polaroid TVs.

(note: the DVD must be correctly installed so that the printed side (label) is facing the front of the TV. If you do not get a response, try the disc in another DVD player. The DVD player laser tracking can fail without warning. If the disc plays in other units, this may be the problem.)

Change battery and see. Look for any jammed buttons on the remote and/or on the control panel of TV. If you have removed the plug, when the TV was in standby mode, sometimes the system controller could not have got time to reset. Try using the control panel buttons and see whether the TV responds. If not, switch it off manually, switch off power and remove plug and retry after 48 hours.

If you have reset the TV back to factory settings, you can use the factory unlock code, which is 0000.

To Reset the TV:

1. Press the MENU button on the remote control to display the Main menu, and select SETUP.
2. Highlight Reset Default, and press the OK button.

To Remove the Parental Control Block:

1. Press the MENU button on the remote control to display the Main menu, and select SETUP.
2. Highlight Parental, and press the OK button.
3. To use the Parental function, must enter a four-digit password. The factory password is 0000.
   
4. Select Program Block, and press OK to display the Program Block menu.
5. You can remove the parental control in this section.

Doesn't appear to be a good way to do this without the remote, you can try to do a factory reset,

Factory Mode Procedure

1.Power on TV.

2.Press volume up and channel up buttons on the TV simultaneously and release.

3.Power off TV with remote or power button to exit.

Get a new remote or try it again with new batteries.

You may be able to program your cable box remote to control your TV in addition to your cable box. When they initially set up your cable box they probably left a pamphlet giving you instructions on how to program your remote. I'm not sure why you can't change the TV channels manually but this may give you a work-around.

same (tla-01911c) issue when trying to watch over the air brodcast try rescanning the channels that normally works for me

i got direct tv basic set on my S-video input so i only need over the air when the sat is down (i.e: storms, wind, snow, ...)

Slide top button on remote to tv. Press and hold mute and select button until the green light on the remote blinks twice. Then press 991. Then press 1. Then press the tv power button once. If the tv doesn't respond hit the channel up button on the remote. If that works press select to store the code and slide the switch back to the left. If it doesn't work keep hitting channel up until it does. It can take up to 30 minutes but it works.

I have Polaroid TV Monitor HDMI LCD 15.4" no power light on TV, blank screen, the power adaptor is Ok 12VDC supply. I need suggestion; in any possible problem or parts busted?
