I have a brand new Zanussi dishwasher. When I turn on a wash it makes noise as if about to start the wash. Then after 5 minutes it stops as if the wash is completed.

The first time I used the dishwasher it worked perfectly. Since then it makes noise as if about to work correctly and then stops after around 5 minutes. The light flashes as if it worked correctly. No water seems to have entered the washer and the tablet wasn't released. I have tried all different settings and made sure the door was properly closed.

Since it is brand new, you should be able to request repair, replacement, or refund under the warranty.

sounds like the dispenser solenoid is faulty you will need to replace the whole unit, this involves removing the door panel.

SOURCE: It seems to start, then stops after a few minutes..

Jon, check that the inlet water valve works(it is an electromagnet valve, located at the pipe's entrance to the machine)). If it doesn't work, test that it get power. In case it get power and doesn't work - You can easily open the valve and clean it (from scale or other dirt). Be aware you should disconnect the power cable from machine before doing it !!!! Check as well for valve's coil resistance. In case you have no resistance measurement - you should replace it for a new one. Good luck

I think I had a similar problem to this. It seems like it was starting a cycle but then it just stalled and made a buzzing noise and it did not drain properly. I opened the bottom of the dishwasher where the draining pump was located. take off the plastic cover and I found bits of broken plates were jamming the fins on the pump... Try this and see how it goes.. Hope it was of some asistance.

Zanussi dishwasher ZSF6161 starts program then stops after 15 minutes

check this steps and fix it. God bless youFloat Switch

The float switch may be hung up and this can cause the dishwasher to be stuck in a cycle.

Timer / Control

If your dishwasher gets stuck in a cycle first try shutting off the breaker for at least 5 minutes if this does not correct the problem you will need to replace the timer /electronic control.

Brand new beko DE 2542 PW dishwasher won't start wash cycle

Hello,
It sounds as if the d/washer is pressurising due to a blocked outlet drain hose.

Make sure that the drain for the dishwasher is actually clear take hose out of the drain outlet. On some of the Beko dishwashers they put a plug up inside the drain hose which has to be removed before use or if it is a new installation and it is draining into a "U" bend on a sink check that the little spigot that the hose is onto is actually open. They come from the plumbers merchants blanked if blanked then you have to cut the end off to suit size of hose.I hope this has helped.

Good Luck.

When washer is started make loud grinding noise

Very likely the bearings in the motor have begun to fail. You can replace the motor, but for a 15 year old DW, sometimes it makes better sense to just buy a new one. Depends on the features the old DW has, vs new, vs motor replacement cost.

Hi there I have a Zanussi zdf121 dishwasher which is only doing a cold wash, not heating at all. Not sure if its hot fill but the hot water is fine elsewhere. Any ideas please Pete

Do you have it hooked up to hot or cold water supply? Most residential dishwashers don't come equipped with a booster heater. If it's connected to the cold side, you'll have to replace the angle stop with a single outlet stop and replace the hot angle stop with a double outlet stop. This should help out, if not, make sure you have hot water in the faucet before starting the dishwasher. Most dishwashers need at least 120 degree hot water supply.

Try turning your tap off a bit till the noise stops but the dishwasher still fills, it can just be due to a bit too much pressure on your water valve.

Diswasher motor making noise during wash cycle

It could be the impeller on the motor. The impeller fits over the shaft of the motor and might have split/broken up. That funny noise is probably the shaft spinning inside the damage impeller. Fortunately the impeler is fairly inexpensive and easy to replace. I believe there are one or two parts/covers to remove that are held in by a roughly half dozen torx screws.

You need to reset the computer on the bottom. Had the same problem with mine. The Blinking led means the heating element is bad and will not operate.
