Question about Hitachi Tools & Hardware - Others
Was using Bostitch 18 gauge nails and worked fine. Ran out and salesman recommended Hitachi nails. The first nail bent and jammed the nailer. I cleared the jam. Now it fires but no nail comes out. The magazine will not open.

SOURCE: Nailer jams with 1-5/8 brads
It sound to me that the 1 5/8 brads are not 18 guage but probably 16 guage and they will not work. Double check them first before going any further. You can usually lay them next to the smaller ones that work and see the size difference, if not let me know and I will dig deeper.

Hello. I can help you. The nail gun you have uses 18 gauge brads. I would use only original Bostitch 18 gauge.
The one MM of difference you mention is the reason why you do not have the pressure you did have. Get rid of those 31MM brads and get the 18 gauge. Home Depot carries the Bostitch line. I would go there or to homedepot.com
