which mars are you referring to is it Mars-22 car alarm

if you know how to get in to programming, That is programmable feature, You can change that to 10, 20, 30 minutes, I think yours is 30 minutes. This is the link for the owners manual,

See pages 20 & 21 ( see picture) With the engine running you will turn either the Smart Start or Tach Wire adjust screw, depending on which setting your box is set on. You will turn one or the other until the LED LIGHT blinks consistently.

Unless you have about a $3000 soldering machine and lots of skills soldering, i would say just get a new mobo. the cost to fix it would be lots more than its worth

Yes your model was designed so you can use it as a monitor. the user manual explains how to set it up.
