SOURCE: Kenmore Elite HE3 F02 error

If you checked the drain pump reservoir and the problem still persists, you may have a pump with a damaged motor/impeller, or something lodged in one of the drain lines. In particular, the drain line that runs from the bottom of the wash tub to the inlet side of the pump.

I recommend you remove the inlet hose, first and inspect for clogs. In is common for small garments to become lodged in this area and restrict water flow to the drain pump. Check the output drain line for obstructions as well.

It does not take much to damage this small drain pumps. The error code is generated if the drain cycle exceeds 8 minutes. So...if the impeller or motor become damaged, and the pump does not pull water at the correct volume, you may still experience the drain error. In this case, you will have to replace the pump in order to get the error to clear. The following link explains how:

Replacements can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartrsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices vary between sites, so shop and compare. the first three sites listed also have helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you with locating and properly identifying the parts you may need.

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: the water wont drain or spin wf210 hotpoint

Hi I think your problem is that the filter is blocked, filter is located between drum and pump at the rear, clean that out and that should solve the problem.

SOURCE: my Hotpoint Ultima keeps displaying an F10 fault

F10 meanswater level pressure switch not sensing correctly, there could be a blockage in the switch hose or chamber, or the switch could be faulty.

SOURCE: I have a Kenmore Elite

he F02 message is a long drain error and it may mean the pump is clogged or bad. You don't provide a lot of detail about if the water is draining out or not but the first thing to check for this error is the drain pump.

The image below shows how to access the pump and remove the filter. This may be your only problem. With the access panel removed you can also make sure the pump is running. Remember to unplug the washer before removing the access panel.

Check the pump for the F02 and make sure you're using HE detergent and there's not excessive suds.

SOURCE: my hotpoint ultima WT761 wont

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(try this!)
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my complete guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------

If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play!

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning!

If these actions have not cured the problem, it could be the control board OR the main motor. Motors will show weaknesses when commanded to spin.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Our hotpoint ultima wmd960 washing machine timer stops with one minute remaining, but continues the wash cycle on 'a loop', and does not pump the water from the drum. We turn it off and then put it...

Have a look at this and check if your pump is full of things lost from pockets:
How to remove and clean your Hotpoint washing machine pump filter

However, I suspect the problem is really that something is causing the controller to (falsely) register an unbalanced load, and continually running the wash to try and redistribute the items.
Sorry I'm not sure what the fix is for that - could be motor tacho, or could be controller itself.

My hotpoint WT965 displays F02 error and wont spin?

“F02” is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a “SUDS” error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:
1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

Error code F-05 showing on my Hotpoint ultima

Error code F02 indicates pressure switch jammed on full.
Remove lower rear panel of washer.
Remove large black hose from bottom of drum.
Remove and clean filter inside hose.
Remove hose on to pump and check for blockage or obstruction here as well.
Pleas rate my solution.
Thankyou.

Brown sludgy marks and particles on clothes.

fill the tub with only water! use pinesol and bleach! half a gallon of each run through wash cycle 3 times before ever letting it spin out! then complete all cycles that should do it! if not them you need to remove and clean under tub and re install
