You're right, the manual is terrible but I think I got it worked out...
Turn to PGM mode.

Press 3 then subtotal button.
Press subtotal button again.
Then endter tax rate (if even enter two digits 05 for 5%, if more enter 4 digits like 5.75 *5+.+7+5 for 5.75%) and press ca/amt tend button
Press 0 and press ca/amt tend button
Press 0125 and press ca/amt tend button *this is for rounding/tax table code not positive on this one but looks like the right entry for "add on" tax
Press sub total button

This should change your tax

I was a away and my staff screwed up my casio TK 2700. I had already started a problem when I tried to change the tax on one item. Suddenly a lot of keys were reading condiment. However my staff member...

Turn key to PROGRAM mode. Turn power off at wall. Hold RECEIPT FEED down - keep your finger on it. Turn power on at wall. Wait 5 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED. You should see "FFFFFFFFFF" on display. Press SUBTOTAL.
That will jump the machine out of the sale.
Now, while still in program mode, 3 SUBTOTAL (display should show P3) 0 Now press an item with condiment problem. If you have a few items with this problem, press 0 before each item. SUBTOTAL
Now turn back to REG and try them in a sale. If they work, you can go back to programming them correctly.

Casio Register 265P - Doubling Tax in Sales Total

Hi.
That could be tricky. we will need to go through the tax setup in your machine.

My first questions are:

1. Does it happen on all department (item buttons)?
2. Does it happen no matter what payment method you use (cash, check,credit)?
3. When you push Subtotal, does it show the wrong amount then, or only when you press a payment type to open the drawer?
