Kicker advises not to overdrive the system because it can burn stuff up. Having that much power does not mean you listen to it that loud. It means there is something called headroom in amp range that allows it to supply the needed power for bass response when it has to. There is also the issue of impedence of the speakers and how it affects wattage. Lower impedence impedence results in higher wattage at the cost of heat. There is nothing listed I see that can take all that amp has to offer. Also be sure that the cross over is working to seperate the signals to the speaker.

Send me your email account and i will draw you a diagram and send it to you there. I will need to know if the ohms of each sub as well as the amp. I'll also need to know if the subs come with one or two voice coils.

SOURCE: voice coil makes burning smell
a lot of subs will make a smell when hot. if there is no indication of blown subs turn your gain down on the amp a quarter turn see if that helps. same with bass boost.
SOURCE: the fuse from the amp to the battery keeps burning
maybe it cannot accomodate too much power running on it...too much current, try another fuse with higher ampere rates
SOURCE: what does sub sonic mean on my Kicker kx1200.1 amp? Do it need to be off or on?
Subsonic refers to frequencies too low for the human ear to hear. Generally humans can hear frequencies in the range of 20 to 20000 hertz (cycles per second), but we hear best in the range of 1000 to 4000 hertz. High amplitude subsonic frequencies can cause damage to your speakers so many amplifiers have an electronic filter in them to reduce the amplitude of these very low frequency signals.

How would I turn my taramp md 5k down to 3000ish watts because I have a custom x15 and the 5 is a little too much for my power setup and on the sub because it gets warm..
