Depending on the model, see the Amazon description for an example:

https://www.amazon.com/Thomas-Carlon-Wireless-Doorbell-Button/dp/B003YHINLE

Quoting: "What number battery does door bell remote button4130T use? Answer:
The button takes (2) 2032 round lithium batteries."

Note the description of the batteries flying away on installation, and the short life of 8 months, etc.

in the wireless doorbell button, you can plug out the old battery, and then plug into the new one, be careful, new one should be the same type as the old one, try it , good luck!

I changed the batteries in my Jacob Jenson doorbell and now it doesn't work. What should I do

Try another set of brand new Duracell batteries and make sure they are inserted correctly. If the Doorbell is wireless as many are these days, it may need pairing. There are settings so that if next door has the same bell, you can use different channels.

What size battery do you recommend ?

Hello Angela K Kreneck,

4 "C" cell batteries (not included)

huh?... (oh... chime end)

The "Button" takes 2 "CR2032" batteries.

Two three (3v) volt lithium batteries... included
(the secret to replacing "WATCH" style batteries...

is to get the number off of the battery inside...

Then you can start looking for Duracell, Renata, Energizer... Sony, Panasonic, Varta (etc. etc.)

In the AWI (American Watch Institute) battery book there are about 39 "L" series batteries listed about 30 of them are the 3 VOLT... standard size "coin battery" (20mm)...

"CR2032" (looks like it takes 2 (two)

Hope this helps!!

I've bought batteries here... Not particularly fast
but the batteries are FRESH & shipped correctly
(important to me & USPS)

How do I change the battery on the Door Push Button?

Easy....You'll need a very small screw driver. There's a small hole on one of the long ends (most are rectangular in shape). For the brand of door bell I have (Thomas and Betts/Carlon), you push in and downward with the screwdriver. This pushes out the bottom (back of doorbell button). In my case, there are (3) CR 2032 Button Cell batteries in a stacking position. As a quick side note -> If your wireless doorbell button does use button cell batteries. Look to Ebay to purchase them. You can get 6-10 batteries shipped to your front door cheaper. Rather than 3-4 batteries at a retail store + tax...Hopefully, I have lent you some assistance...Thanks for reading

How do i add a second switch to my rc8233r?

I would try Ebay first (or search the net for availability and prices). I bought CR2032 3V Button Cell (that are used in my Carlon door chime buttons) batteries. I got 10 for under $5. Carlon (Thomas & Betts) still makes a variety of door chimes and accessories. However, on their site, the prices are atrocious. But, I think that Thomas & Betts deals in bulk (as in dealing with retailers). Because they list their items in bulk price form. I personally have 5 T&B wireless door chimes. Hence, 4 of the buttons are in storage. Out of curiosity, I tried all of them. All 4 extra buttons rang all the door chimes. Caution, on the packages of the door "chimes" I purchased. There's a blurb on there that states the wireless buttons for the "door chimes" will not work with the "doorbells". If you have the packaging for the one you have. It will explain. I'm not positive, but it seems the variance is due to whether you use battery or electric powered models. Hope I was of assistance...Greg

Hello I have now got 2 (two) of these units over the past 8 months and neither work----changed batteries--interchanged push button---changed main unit--nothing works----but when my neigbour across road has...

The doorbell buttons and your receiver must be on the same channel. If you will get out the directions that came with your unit, they will describe the process to go through to reset the specific "codes" for your buttons and receiver.
