I just got a new sanyo tv and used voice to help me set it up. i no longer want the voice on how do i go back in to turn it off

Sounds like you've turned on a voice over accessibility function. Scroll through the menu and you'll find a way to turn it off.

hi have you tried to see if it turns without a tape in it as this will then rule out the tape being the problem

Go to tv settings

Cause of screen burn typically is pixels are no longer showing full range of color. Typically a shop would cycle screens or blocks of very bright colors alternating colors to unstick any pixels not showing full range of some color. Setting tv back to factory default then adjusting could help also turning up brightness. Change color settings from cool to warm could help. Could also be a refresh rate. Verify tv is set to display at same rate as input device like cable box set to output 1080i while tv native is 720p. Just because there is a pic doesn't mean they are synced.if tv has to convert signal from 1080i to 540i then resize to fit 720p tv it may slow refresh rate tv is trying to display progressive scan image but not enough data is coming in so it redisplays previous image on every other line.and new data on every other line.
solution is check output video settings of source to match native resolution of tv. Hd cable box this is common as tech sets output to high resolution 1080i most inexpensive tv are 720p

Issue is not the set---it is normal with some Sat and Cable boxes used--been a issue here since first HD sets appeared.

I had to call Sanyo on this same problem, and I just wanted to help you out on this. When you turn on the the TV and it asks for home or store, chose home then do the channel scan. After the channel scan completes, switch to your tv source, hdmi1, then turn off the tv and back on and it should just go straight back to hdmi1. Let me Know if this works!

Remove the batteries from the remote then see if the set returns to normal and you can use the buttons on the tv. If after the batteries are out and the set is still acting upreturns back to normal then the remote is bad, I have seen cases where something has been spilled on the remote and no one was told.

What is your universal remote control? if its not philips magnavox you try this universal remote control you will set the code match to your tv sanyo which you will see at the back of the instructions manual when you buy this remote control. follow the instruction of the manual on how to enter the code for tv. thanks.God bless you. i hope it will help.

I just checked with my distributor for the flyback for this model, and it comes up as an inactive part with the notice that Sanyo states they can no longer sell parts for this model, and that you must call sanyo direct at 800-877-5032 for information. They must have serious issues with this set. Sanyo used to put out a good product some 30 years ago, as I recall.
