nope, the imi can be changed in the phone so its not of any use other than activating the phone, track my iphone through apple might if you had that service on, other than that tracking phones like that is of little use as it hardly ever works

Problem with that. Unless you installed a tracker in the phone. There's no way to find it or get it back.
The downside to SIM card phones is, take out the sim. It becomes unregistered and untraceable.
