SOURCE: Fuel Leak

Recommend replacing the fuel lines. They only last a couple of years before they get brittle. The fuel line if very inexpensive and can be found just about anywhere.

SOURCE: I have a Kipor IS6000 generator that drains fuel from the plastic tube on the back side of the carborator when the generator is running. What can be the cause?

check for a small fracture on the tubing caused from age and flexing from vibration. It is usually right where the tubing comes off the carburetor.

My diesel kipor 5kva generator wont shut by key ,

Caution
the manufacture is recommending a cool down period of about 3 minutes to prevent overheating of the combustion chamber. the following is from the manufacture on shut down procedure.

3.2.8Check Stopping of Generating Set
(1)Disconnect the load from the generating set.
(2)Turn off the air switch of the generating set.
(3)Set the speed lever at RUN position, run the generating set without load for about 3 minutes. Do not stop the engine suddenly, otherwise the temperature will increase abnormally, the nozzle will blocked and the generating set will be damaged.
Press down the stop lever. Concerning the electric starter, turn the key to OFF. Turn the fuel **** lever to S position.
Pull out the recoil starter handle until you feel resistance (at this position, both intake/exhaust valve are closed.) and leave the handle in this position. This prevents the engine from rust.
If the engine keep on running even after the speed lever is placed at the STOP position, either turn the fuel **** to the CLOSE position or loosen the nut of high pressure fuel pipe on the pump side to stop the engine.
Do not stop the engine with the decompression lever.
Do not stop the generating set with load. Stop it after the load removed.

Why unit keeps shutting down after it starts.

Your question is general without specific details. Any one of many things will cause your generator engine to stop running.

Is this question about a Kipor KDE5000TA? If so, your generator is powered by a diesel engine. There are safety shut downs built into the generator to protect the generator head and engine. Do you have any fault codes showing on your control panel display screen? (Trouble codes P-01 through P-05 will be displayed if there's a detected fault)

If you have no fault codes, then you likely have a fuel problem. Do the obvious:
  1. Visually check the fuel level in your tank. DO NOT rely on your fuel gauge. It may be stuck or otherwise not working.
  2. If you have fuel, check your fuel filter. It may be clogged. If your fuel filter is good, you may have water contamination.
  3. Drain your tank and refill with fresh #2 diesel fuel. I use "Diesel 911" with a biocide to prevent water contamination and bacteria growth in my fuel.
  4. Make certain your fuel oil supply and return lines are clear, not leaking, and the fittings are tight.
I know I'm shotgunning, peppering the target. However, I don't have enough information to zero in on a specific area where the problem could be. Good luck!

I took de oil filter out i connected direct tube i start de it didnt start

Check de-compression lever. Motor will not start if de-compression lever is operated. The lever stops the valves from closing. If lever is operated then there will be no compression when motor is pulled over with starter cord or electric starter operated.

Check fuel cut off at injector pump is not operated. This is how motor is normally stopped.

There must be no air in the fuel line, fuel filter, injector jump or injector. Undo the fuel line at the injector and pull starter or operate electric starter. Fuel should spit out. If not, crank some more until fuel comes through.

if there is fuel in the tank, filter not blocked and injector pump working then if not fuel at injector then maybe injector pump faulty.

If fuel at injector line then remove injector, crank motor and look for spray of fuel.

If if you have checked for spray of fuel and motor compression then motor should start.

I have kipor 6700 diesel generator when I'm trying to turn it on the starting motor works but engine doesn't start even though I tried for 8 times the battery is ok and oil level is ok 2- there is oil in...

no -it is not normal. check that it is oil as I suspect that it is diesel fuel and the reason that you can't start it is because the fuel is leaking out and letting air into the system. If so you will have to bleed the system before the engine will start.

There is an odor of gas coming from underneath right passenger door

The fuel filter is located there and it could be leaking and the exhaust can leak and it'll smell like fuel. theirs also vent lines for the tank ( plastic) that go from the tank to the canister ( evaprotive emissions ) If someone jacking up the car could damage them to and they will smell alot bur not leak wet gas. Inspect the car or have it inspected by someone who can get under the car( or raise it up) and check everything that can leak as a fuel leak can cause a very bad problem to happen.

2003 chevy 1500 has a code that says large evap leak. Where do I find this leak?

"Where" to find the leak is in your evaporative emmissions system. Most of the time, a good visual inspection will turn up the culprit. First, check the fuel cap. Look at the rubber O-Ring that seals it against the fuel fill tube. If it is cracked or looks like it is crushed down, replace your fuel cap. If that all looks OK, then you can check the rest of the system for obvious cracks, or leaks. Start with the Evap Purge line. You can identify this in the engine compartment as a plastic vacuum line about 5/16" in diameter and it has a service port on it with a green cap. Check the plastic line for cracks. Then check the rubber components that connect to this line on both ends. One end will go into the Purge Solenoid and the other will go into a steel line that runs along the frame rail under the vehicle. Follow this steel line to where it goes and inspect all connecting hoses, tanks, etc. there will also be rubber hoses at the fuel tank area and some that connect to the fuel fill tube. Check all of these for any visual signs of damage or leaks. Also check for badly corroded metal parts - especially near the fuel fill tube. Sometimes the metal tubes get rusted through and cause leaks.

If a thorough visual inpection does not lead you to a suspect, then the system will have to be "smoke-tested". This is where the system is filled with smoke under a slight amount of pressure so the leak can be seen where the smoke comes out.
