Hello there,

The fans are a common problem. Some have a separate fan and others are an assembly with the motor. If it continues, have a tech replace it.

BOSH oven doesn’t work properly because of function error E218

The E218 error indicates a problem with the lower cooling fan. The fan could be moving too slowly or too fast. There may be something blocking the fan or a damaged wire providing the wrong feedback to the control board.

You can try resetting the error by disconnecting the power for 5 minutes or so. Turning off the power with the appropriate circuit breaker is the easiest option. Then check what happens when you start the oven again. If the problem recurs, then you need to check the wiring and for anything interfering with the fan circulation. The Hall Effect sensor should also be checked. Most often the fan needs to be replaced.

Please add a comment with the model number of the appliance for specifics for your oven.

I hope this helps.

The fan in the main oven won't work unless you move it slightly by hand before turning the oven on. It then starts pretty slowly and speeds up. not sure if it can be resolved or do i need a new...

It sounds as though the fan is gummed up (a technical expression). Maybe a little fat has splashed on the fan and it's congealed. Try spraying the fan with a little WD40 (dab it off after about a minute) and run the oven until there is no lingering smell of the lubricant.

I have a diplomat fan oven. I repalced the fan element about six months ago. everything worked fine, however in the past couple of weeks the motor has been running slowly and erratically. now something has...

Sounds like the fan motor has failed altogether, and as a result the oven element has probably blown again due to overheating of the element.A ew fan and element is more than likely going to be needed to correct the problem.
