SOURCE: won't read sd card - says card not suppoorted

Did you try putting the card in the camera, and using the camera's "format" card option?(Make sure there is nothing on the the card-a format will delete it.) Often times, a digital camera requires a format of the card so the proper file/directory structure can be created. If the card is empty, you have nothing to lose.

SOURCE: camera won't work

HP technical Support is the 1st place to go - in case there is a repair/replacement solution. If the camera is over a year old - an economical repair is unlikely

Go to your menu and settings for the card and format it. That way it will be fit for your camera again. (:

SOURCE: My HP Photosmart R707 Camera not reading memory cards

If the memory card you are using is an SDHC designated card, your camera is probably not compatible with it. SDHC cards are usually 4gb and larger. Check the card for the SDHC label.

H P photosmart 945 can i use with windows 7

Your camera doesn't care what operating system you have on your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Windows Photo Gallery or any other photo cataloging program.

Does Hp 945 work without a memory card

Yes, but the camera has only 32M of internal memory so you won't be able to take and store more than a handful of pictures. For "real" use you'll need one or more SD cards. Make sure you get SD cards 2GB and smaller, not SDHC cards.

I got a 4gb memory card-SanDisk and the camera says it is unreadable.i had a 512mb card and it worked fine.

Hi Tomcat,

this will not work.
The HP 945 does not support 4GB cards.
4GB (or more) are SD-HC (High Capacity). This is new format which only will be supported by newer camera models.

HP Camera won't turn on

I had the exact same problem. I turned on my HP Photosmart E317 camera and it would light up for one second and then just a blank screen. Here's the tech support site from HP. Try taking out your memory card and then turn it on. That worked for me. I just put the memory card back in and it works fine. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00709691&lc=en&cc=de&dlc=de&product=445953&rule=2137&lang=de
