SOURCE: Washing Machine Dance

Cars, does the basket lean to one side? There might be a couple of issues. The coupler that seats between the motor and trans could be wollowed out causing vibration. Another is that one of the balance springs came off or broke. I'm going to attach a photo of the springs so you can see what this looks like. You can remove the whole cabinet to check things out or tip the washer back and take a look.

SOURCE: BACK LEG LEVELING ARM

The back legs are usually not adjustable. Adjust the front legs & lock them with the lock nuts, at the lowest level, that is the machine tilts towards the front. Adjust further if there is any shake when you try with your hands.

You could also check to see if any springs or shocks have become loose. Refer manual.

SOURCE: water level sensor in an Amana LWA65AW Washer?

What likely happened is when you replaced the belt you may have disconnected the hose to the water level switch. It is (usually) a clear hose that attaches to the side of the washtub and goes to an air pressure switch that senses the water level to tell the machine to shut the water off and go into agitate mode.

If the hose is not disconnected you may either have a bad water level switch, it may have been accidentally unplugged electrically when replacing the belt, or there is a hole in the hose, connection to the washtub or on the switch.

SOURCE: what can I do to prevent excessive vibration

Here's a very simple thing that you can try, place spongy foam between the sidewalls of the washer and adjacent wall or dryer. See this link for further info. It's simple, but it does work.

I have a Maytag Model # LA806-02, which dances across the flor when in the spin mode. Tighting the three centering spring has helped very little.

If your Maytag is dancing across the floor the most common problem is the leveling. If one or more of the feet are not level it ill wobble and walk around the floor. When you level the machine on the top both directions make sure the set nut is tightened so you will not have to retighten it again later.

We recently bought a new washing machine, front loading, and it seems to enjoy dancing across the floor when it spins, any ideas what we can do to prevent this, the floor has a laminate finish.

The adjustable feet under the machine are supposed to be fitted with rubber cups. Make sure the machine doesn't rock around when pushed and pulled in several directions--you may need to adjust the feet so that the machine sits level and firmly. If it really gets to hopping after you have checked the previous items, then the tub suspension system inside the case may hung-up in some way. That would appear to be a warranty item. Hope this helps!

Washing machine dances all over at high speed spin.

Push down on each corner, one at a time, when you push on a corner and the dancing stops, that's the corner that needs balance. adjust the foot.

While spinning my Neptune will dance all over the floor sometimes

Dear gpotts839, Friday 2-20-2009 11:27pm EST (USA)

Underneath the washer on each corner are leveling legs that are probably not level. They are adjustable so make sure the washer is level by trying to shake it when off and adjusting the legs, with pliers or by hand, so it won't rock at all when off.
If this isn't your problem it may be from overloading the washer with clothes or a large comforter or not using enough water when filling.

Dancing washing machine

Check that the washer is level , and that there is no movement on it.
Make sure you have not overloaded it.
An out of balance load could cause problem , especially if you had something heavy or extra large in it..
A loose concrete balance weight., or suspension spring unhooked or broken..
Not draining properly ,check filter if there is one usually at front behind removable cover at bottom.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

The machine rocks so bad my wife had to turn it off

When I went to buy mine I asked about the bouncing and shaking and he said alot of times people do not take the nuts and bolts off the back that allows the drum to move properly causing it to move etc. There is a pic on the back that shows you were to remove them.

Maytag LAT2500AAE- unbalanced

see if it has 4 adjustable feet on each corner on the bottom
get a bubble level from a hardware store and turn the feet to raise or lower OR you could use something else to raise the sides until it is leveled by looking at the bubble level.

hope this helps
