The water does not seem to be going to it.
Is the ice maker turned on? The on/off switch is located on the top right side of the freezer compartment. The manual says that there is a sensor beam that passes from one freezer wall to the other to shut off ice making when the bin is full. Check to make sure nothing Is blocking that signal beam and that the bin is correctly installed.
SOURCE: Ice maker leaks water into Ice bend. When it cycles I can watch it drip water from the ice maker.
This happens when the teflon on the mold is peeling.(flaking) It pushes water over the side. Otherwise check the clip in the back that holds the fill tube in the water cup. If the clip is missing then the fill tube could be splashing water over the mold

Temp needs to be down to 0 or below for ice maker to activate. once that happend arms that push ice out will go around and made switch in end of ice maker that turns on water selenoid valve that adds water. this could also be electronic switch. main thing is its cold enough to activate. If it don't work then Ice maker may be bad or no power getting to it. turn freezer as cold as you can may mean setting refrig side warmer. If it has coil under refrig clean it out. Air around frig should be 68 - 75 degrees if poss.

Unplug Ice maker from plug on inside wall, remove and let thaw. Don't worry when removed the water will not enter the freezer. Let me know if this works as I get very little support from LG. Thanks, Se Breeze
