When screen goes black two possible problem are display assembly , power supply or battery connection are loosen.

ipad iphone won't turn on blank screen

Here you first remove battery check charging connector of battery 3 copper point which touch with pcb of your iphone. Clean it rub with cotton and insert battery again.
Charge iphone for 20 to 30 minute and power on it.
If this does not work then start your iphone in recovery mode and restore your iphone.

Start iphone in dfu or recovery mode.
For that first connect your iphone to computer via usb cable install latest itunes on your computer. Now press and hold sleep wake button or( in iphone 7 press and hold on off button) for 3 to 5 second and volume button for 5 second. Now your iphone screen goes black and on your itunes you will get pop up message that itunes is detected

Not to step in on an argument but the output side of a laptop inverter can be up to 1.5KV.. (or 1500 Volts AC).. Milliamps in current generally but they can shock you.. (Wont curl your hair for the most part).. Just a wake up if you handle incorrectley. Am Waiting for a customer to spill liquids in one of the new Air units so I can take apart and get my fingers into.. (Or Drop or worse).. Weve repaired a few of the New Black/Macbooks/Video as well as the whites and repaired more than too many of the old G-4 Ibook problems.. Will keep an eye out on these Now Hot-box Intel Models.. Failures are Inevetible in my opinion.

SOURCE: iphone only see apple logo and itunes logo in a dark screen after

If it got wet, you can bring it to any Apple Store. Nine times out of ten they will replace it for $150 to $200 dollars. Unless they determine it is a manufacturers defect and you are still under warranty, then you want have to pay anything. they will usually just replace it for you.
Otherwise, you may have to pay up to $200 for a replacement.
Hope this helps...Let me know...

When I turn on iphone 3G it only show apple logo, after that it is turned off and shows nothing, Further when I connect it to itunes or computer it does not show iphone. I have tried to restart the set by...

Hello.

You'll need to reset the iPhone.

From About:

To do that, hold both the sleep/wake and Home buttons together for at least 10 seconds.

The red shut down slider will show up at the top of the screen and then disappear. Keep holding the buttons. The screen may even go black, but don't let go of the buttons until the Apple logo shows up. When it appears, let the buttons go and the phone will start up normally.

Hope this resolves your problem.
tip

Factory Reset for Centro and Treo 755p

If you've set a password on your smartphone, any hard reset will automatically become a Factory Reset. With this method, you'll enter a password and then perform a hard reset.

1.On your smartphone, launch the Security application.
2.If the Password box says "Unassigned," tap the box and create a password for your smartphone. Press Applications to exit the Security application.
3.Now that a system password is established, we'll perform a hard reset to complete the factory reset. With the device face down, remove the battery door. Removing the stylus may make it easier to remove the battery for the next step.
4.Remove the battery. Then put the battery back in.
5.When the Palm logo appears, press and hold Power/End until the black status bar at the bottom of the screen fills and disappears, and then release Power/End.

6.If you performed this reset correctly, you should see a white screen with black text saying "reformatting in progress" (any other activity - such as the Palm OS logo and then the Applications launcher appearing - means the reset was performed incorrectly; try again). Your smartphone will appear to reset again after the "reformatting in progress" screen disappears.
7.When the Erase all data? prompt appears, press Up to confirm the Factory reset.
8.When the language selection screen appears, select the same language you selected for your desktop software. The Factory reset is now complete.

I've had an iphone 3G for about a year now, and jus in the past 2 weeks i've had a hard time charging my phone, with either a wall outlet or my computer. i'll find myself spending an hour jus trying to...

Most likely your iPhone battery is dead. If you have the AppleCare and hasn't expired Apple will replace your iPhone battery free of charge.

If it has expired you can pay about $50 (I think) and Apple will replace the battery. If you think that's too much go to Amazon/Ebay and look for an "iPhone Battery Replacement Kit." Remember if you do decide to do the battery replacement yourself. You're voiding your Apple warranty & they won't replace it.

I cant get my phone to turn on everytime I hold the reset button the apple logo appears for 5 secs then the screen turns black.

Download the latest iTunes to your computer and reset the iPhone. Then re-sync it.
Reset

To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds. During this time, a red "power off" slider may appear and the screen may go black, but do not release Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.
If iPhone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond
  1. Press and hold the Home button for at least six seconds, until the application you were using quits.
  2. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
  3. If that doesn't work, reset iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

More resets:
Try This:
1. Remove Sim Card
2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.

Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.

My iphone is freezing on screen

Hold down power button and the button at the bottom of the screen until the apple logo goes away (it will display & then disappear). After it disappears, you can let go of the keys. Then just hold the power button down until the apple logo returns and then let go. It will power up. I was told by an AT&T rep that you should do that every week or so just to refresh everything. Seems to work for me.

Ipod won't turn on screen is black

May be the battery id dead.
Connect your ipod to computer and press and hold the middle and menu button together until you get an apple logo on the screen.
Let go the buttons as soon as apple logo appears on the screen. In most of the cases, that fix the issue.
In case you wont get apple logo on the screen, then it's a hardware problem. Call AppleCare at 1800-275-2273 in that case
Hope that answers your question
