My wd-52525 lamp indicator indicated that I needed a new lamp. I purchased a lamp, installed it and of course it still indicates a bad lamp. I took the lamp assembly and had it checked out by a tech and it is good. Could it be a power supply for the lamp? Are wiring diagrams or schematics avalable for this product? I'm on a tight budget and can't spend a lot on this right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Tim A.

Actually Tim, it seems more like a ballast issue, I recommend you replace it, since ity doesn't have enough energy to keep up with the lamp, and that's why you gte a lack of image.

sounds like the caps on the power board have failed. You can get the V26 DM/Power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which also contains the instructions.

Hello, I have a 52525 and the lamp indicator went

push the menu and device buttons on the front of the set both in together and hold for 6 seconds and see what two digit error codes blinks. It will most likely blink a 3 pause then 4 and then repeat the sequence indicating a 34 error for lamp abnormality which is almost always caused by faile capacitors on the Power pwb.

You have a bad DM Board. You need to replace it. Changing the capacitors will not cure the problem. Completely replace the entire board

WD-52525 Red lamp Indicator

usually with that model when you get a 34 eror code for lamp abnormality, its directly related to the capacitors on the Power Pwb. You can get the V26 Power PWB repair kit at the following link which repairs that issue. It contains the replacement High temp capacitors with the board location numbers and PWB identification as well as the service manual on CD. Heres the link its under their repair kit ctegory.
