Schwinn 12 Roadster trike-handlebar does not fit into fork steer. Handlebar & fork have approx. same circumference, so can't slide it in. Is the handlebar defective & needs to be replaced? Thanks!

I assume you mean the handlebar stem does not fit into the fork steerer. Approximately the same diameter is not good enough. The stem has to be the correct size for the fork. The two most likely sizes are 22.2mm and .833 inches (21.15mm). Most stems have the size stamped near the bottom. There's a good chance your trike has a .833 steerer. Stems for that size are still available.

Fit tourguide bag

Have the mounting clips/straps? If so, wrap them around handlebars, and top of forks. If not try duct tape, or throw it away and buy one with straps.

I recently repositioned my handlebars on my 2008 HD Street Glide and when I put everything back together, my starter will not engage now. Somebody please HELP !

What did you do to reposition the handlebars, did you take the right side perch and switch housing apart or off. If so you may have pinched or otherwise damaged the wires or you may have damaged the run/stop switch or the start switch. If you had other wires apart or exposed check them for pinching or other damage as well. If you do not hear the starter relay click you have damaged something in the wiring before it and likley it is in the switch housing or the handlebars themselves.

Replacing 91 suzuki gs500e clutch cable

Hi, if you are ok doing this type of job, then its quite easy to fit a cable, remove the seat, undo the 2 bolts securing the fuel tank and prop up the back end of the fuel tank, remove the gear change lever by removing the 10mm bolt, remove all the screws holding the sprocket caseing, next comes the cable with the case still on the engine undo the locking nut on the clutch cable, (12 mm), next get the new cable and lay it along side the whole length of the old cable and fasten it to the frame where ness, screw in the addjuster all the way at the clutch lever and align the slot for cable removal from the lever now remove the sprocket cover and old cable with it, undo the cable adduster all the way until it is removed from the case, push the cable wire back to remove it from the clutch control arm inside the case, try not to remove the arm as it will fit back in more than 1 position, retaining the original position is important, you can then refit the new cable into the arm a small amount of grease on the cable nipple will help, replace the case back onto the engine it should fit flush with no effort, replace all the screws, it important they are fitted in accordance, so place them loosly in the holes they should all protude around the same amount, if any are shorter or longer move them around untill correct. Once happy tighten them up, connect the cable at the control lever on the handlebar and then remove all the slack from the cable at both ends untill you have around 5mm free play at the handlebar end, replace gear change lever, and all other fixings.

THE CABLES INSIDE MY HANDLBAR HAVE SNAPPED CAN I GET NEW ONES OR GET THEM REPAIRED ??

Good Morning

The cable in the handlebar is not available as an individual item - to replace it you'll need the entire handlebar replaced.

If you are in the UK and the product is under 2 years old, please contact your retailer with your proof of purchase; They can either order a replacement handlebar for you to fit, or they can send your chassis to our engineers to fit a replacement, under the warranty terms and conditions.

If you are in the UK and the product is over 2 years old or you do not have proof of purchase you can order a replacement handlebar to fit yourself or book in the chassis for chargeable inspection and repair work required by phoning the customer service department on 01284 413 141 Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30. A replacement handlebar which will fit the 2007 model onwards is £50 plus £8 p+p. To book the unit in for the engineers to replace will be £60 and will include safety checks following repair work and courier delivery of the chassis back to your address. In addition to this you will need to make arrangements and cover costs for courier delivery of the product to our engineers.

If the product is a 2005 or 2006 model the current style handlebars do not fit straight on. In this instance the chassis will need to be sent to the engineers for them to provide replacement.

If you're not in the UK please visit www.quinny.com and select the country you're in, then use the "Contact Us" tab to be put in touch with the customer service department in your country.

Is the diamater of the handlebars on my 2010 yamaha XJR1300 7/8'' or 1'' many thanks

Measure them yourself. Wrap a string around the handlebar and make a mark so that it crosses both strands of the string. Unwrap the string and measure the distance between the marks. If the handlebar is exactly 7/8" (.875) the marks will be 2.7489" apart. If it is exactly 1" they will be 3.1416" apart. In practical terms if its 2-3/4" it is a 7/8" and if it's 3-1/8" it's 1". Good Luck.

Which years handlebars will fit onto a 2002 Speed Triple?

Any 22mm (7/8") handlebars will fit your Speed Triple - these can be OEM or after-market - lots of options to choose from with different bends to suit your personal comfort.
Renthal & Rizoma are popular after-market choices, replicating the OEM 'bend' quite closely.
