Ancestry.com offers records search, and often is available for free use in the public library. Family memory records searched by last name often provide more information to help in research, including Federal census records, school records and sometimes school yearbook photos, marriage records, and sometimes newspaper clippings.

Hello, Bernie -

Fixya.com answerer Terry provided you with the Florida D3@th Certificate number, 58749, and the date of the passing away of Margaret Lorraine Kosmowski, 23 Jul 1973. (Note I had to spell "D3@th" as I did, since a Fixya.com algorithm "reads" the correct spelling of the word as profanity. Go figure?)

Read the information on this Florida Dept. of Vital Records web page here:
(TinyURL link):
https://tinyurl.com/y8p2fw7q
It explains how you can order and pay for a certificate.

Best wishes.

By the way, if you reside in the USA, your public library system probably subscribes to the Ancestry.com USA records, making them available to you for free. Check with your public library and ask. Access will probably be through computers at the main/headquarters library and will only require logging in to a library computer with your current public library borrower card.

My moms AT&T 1717 answering machine seems to have lost my dads greeting message. My dad passed away in january 2017 and it would mean a lot if there was a way to get it back. Thank you.

It depends where the msg greeting was stored. If on the answering machine (which got deleted) and another message written over it then it's loss. If no one re-entered a new message it's a long shot but possible the MFR could retrieve the old memory by hacking the internal memory. Though, with most of the 'Hackers' of this type are +60's so finding and paying(?) someone may be a bit hard.
I would suggest checking with people or family that called this machine and may have recorded the voice msg. You may have a video clip during a family event and the machine came on during the recording. My Mother-in-law just passed away last Tuesday. With all the family contacting my wife, I've been pulling them to the side to ask if they have pictures or vids that I could use for the funeral service program. My own mother passed in 2004 and I kept the contact/mailing list. We got a lot of pictures that time. Many of my mom when she was in High school. We always see our parents as 'old' people, and forget that they (Mom & Pop) were young at one time. There is another source of pictures, info, and possible vids if you check on facebook for distant relatives. I'm still looking for my Dad's father (my grandpa) whom died in 1926 here in Hawaii. But oddly I don't know where he is buried. Fortunately I did find His wife (my grandma) whom is coincidentally buried in Diamond Head cemetary where my other grand parents (Mom's side) is. You can also do a family tree search to find other relatives or siblings to your Dad. Though don't be surprised if you come across unknown relatives. Recently you just have to do a DNA test and the testing service may provide you with 'possible' relatives. Check his yearbook for 'special' messages left by High school contacts.
Aloha, ukeboy57

PS; on the off chance the machine used 'tape cassettes' then you may be in luck as several 'tapes' were used to change the messages or even recordings of people leaving messages. your Dad may have left a message on an old tape. Check his desk drawers for mini machine tapes. You may even find an old audio cassette or two. Good luck, good hunting!

We have a Panasonic TV - Model TH-37PX60U (purchased 08/2006) that makes a "chirping" type noise periodically - sort of comes and goes. Any idea what this might be? Thanks, Mike G Pinellas Park,...

Sometimes that "chirping" is caused by loose windings on various transformers. You can usually isolate a particular transformer by pressing on it when it is "chirping" & it may stop "chirping" or the frequency my change. If that is the cause, you can A: replace the coil, B: replace the Printed Circuit Board, or C: Do nothing as it really isn't hurting anything but your nerves.
