Hi. The fuel filter is located underneath the truck. It sits hidden on top of a crossmember, behind a steel plate. It is near the exhaust and the end of the fuel tank. Good Luck.

Where is the fuel filter for Nissan Xterra 2003 located on the car

use google to find all information 2004 Xterra fuel filter location

there may be other problems, change filter, if that does not work quit throwing money and parts at it may be cheaper to have it repaired.

SOURCE: car runs rough at idle

clean out ur throttle body, just follow the hose from the air filter to the throttle body. Need 2 people to do this. Don't remove the hose completely from the throttle body. Just enuff to be able to spray ur intake cleaner into the throttle body. Do this especially if its worse when the motor is hot, as this would confirm the problem.

SOURCE: P0171 Code (Lean Fuel Bank 1) Engine light on

PO 171 indicates a lean condition in bank 1 or the same side of the engine as the first cylinder , usually it is caused by a vacuum leak some where check to make sure that even the smallest of vacuum hoses are in good condition and not leaking

SOURCE: Stalling around 15 30 mph

I would try insoluating the fuel lines anywhere they go past hot parts.I would also run some fuel cleaner in with a few tanks of gasoline. It has done wonders on my truck of 189k.   Lean or no fuel related problem do not set codes. Too much unburned  fuel sets codes.

SOURCE: 1989 GMC 2500 5.7L - engine surges and stalls at idle. Loses power at cruising speed.

Wow you have replaced a lot of stuff. Lets go back to the Fuel pump. When you replaced it did you replace the hose between the pump and the sending unit. These are common for splitting. Have you hooked up a fuel pressure gauge to check what pressure you have? It should be real close to 13 psi and should raise to at least 18 or 19 when you pinch off the return line.

HI, mazda B2900 diesel year 2002. The Engine stops while driving and also if you lose gas pedal

There are a few potential causes for the engine stalling in your Mazda B2900 diesel when driving or when you let off the gas pedal. Here are a few things you may want to check:
  1. Fuel delivery: If the engine is not receiving enough fuel, it may stall. Check the fuel pump, fuel filter, and fuel injectors to make sure they are functioning properly.
  2. Air intake: If the air intake system is blocked or not functioning correctly, it can cause the engine to stall. Check the air filter, air intake hoses, and the mass air flow sensor (MAF) to make sure everything is clean and working properly.
  3. Electrical issues: Faulty sensors or other electrical issues can cause the engine to stall. Check the battery and alternator to make sure they are charging properly, and check all electrical connections to make sure they are clean and secure.
  4. Vacuum leak: If there is a vacuum leak in the engine, it can cause the engine to stall. Check for any cracked or broken vacuum hoses and replace as necessary.
It's best to take your car to a qualified mechanic to diagnose and fix the issue, as they will have the expertise and specialized tools to properly diagnose the problem.

1989 chevy cavalier z24 strats but stalls rapidly

This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control

I purchased a 1997 chevy blazer ... looks great interior and exterior... but when I drive and stop, i have to keep 1 foot on gas pedal and one foot on break. what do i do ?

Here is the common cause of surges, cold stalls, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours.

To correct this problem get a can of throttle valve cleaner (it is made by CRC) from the local auto parts store, spray it into the air intake of the engine until you have used about half the can, you will need to hold the idle up while you do this, it will try to stall, after this shut the engine down and disconnect the Negative (-) battery cable for 5 minutes. The intake is know clean, if you continue to have the stall out the idle speed control valve may be defective and requires replacement.

I have a 1996 Honda accord lx 5 speed. When I let it idle it drops below 500 rpm and almost stalls out. What would this be?

  • Dirty air filter or bird nest in the air intake
  • Broken vacuum hose or fitting
  • Worn plugs or bad wires (will run rough; exhaust may smell dirty or have raw gas odor).
  • Clogged fuel injector or fuel filter; failing fuel pump (will also run poorly at high power demand)
  • Bad throttle position sensor or dirty throttle body - inspect any idle air bypass channels.
  • Bad or misadjusted idle air solenoid (I'm not sure if it's used on this model; you'll have to check to see what engine you have.)

These are the first places to look. If the Check Engine light is on, getting a diagnostic readout may save some time in your search for the problem.

'93 Aerostar-stalls while driving/scary-stalls in 'drive' at stops

Wow!!! Now that's a headfull of problems....
This could be a great many things...
Check these before you sell. I have a '93 Aerostar and can't live without it.
1. Check idle speed
2. Fuel filter may be clogged or water in the fuel system.
3. Choke improperly adjusted or sticking.
4. Distributor components damp or damaged.
5. Faulty emissions components.
6. Faulty or incorrectly gapped spark plugs/ Also check wires.
7. Vacuum leak at the carburetor/fuel injection unit or vacuum hoses.
8. On 1986 models, stalling during idle or deceleration may be caused by sludge in the throttlebody. (2.3 litre engine)
9. On 1986 & 1987 models with a 2.3 litre engine, hesitation or stalling during acceleration may be caused by carbon build-up on the intake valves.....I hope this helps!! Adios
