What are codes p1249 & p1211

P1211 Injector Control Pressure Sensor Above / Below Desired P1249 Wastegate Control Valve Performance
P1211 We all know that this code is commonly caused by "Hot Chips" that are demanding more Injection Control Pressure (ICP) than the High Pressure Oil Pump can deliver. For what it's worth, these are the exact parameters that trigger this code:
  • ICP 410psi Higher Than Desired for 7 Seconds
  • ICP 280psi Lower Than Desired for 7 Seconds
This code can also be caused by legitimate High Pressure Oil System issues. Below is a list of some of the causes:
  • Failed or Sticking IPR (Injection Pressure Regulator)
  • Failed or Weak HPOP (High Pressure Oil Pump)
  • Any Leak in High Pressure Oil System (o-ring, stuck injector, etc.)
  • Low Fuel Pressure (Rare)

P1249 it is the HPOP, above or below pressure, if you have added a performance chip to your vehicle , you will get this code from time to time, basically its Turbo over boost

I was attempting to install a new stereo in my 2000 taurus. it requires to an adapter to put the new stereo in. i got the new adapter and stereo in *kinda* but decided i didnt really know what i was...

check your fuses first. You may have blown one.

Visual Inspection Chart Mechanical Electrical
  • Integrated control panel (ICP) physically damaged, misaligned, any control(s) inoperative
  • Digital audio compact disc player physically damaged, misaligned, any control(s) inoperative
  • Antenna or antenna cable physically damaged, misaligned connection(s)
  • Radio speakers, mounting/speaker cones physically damaged, misaligned
  • Radio ignition interference capacitors, radio frequency interference suppression bond misaligned (also check for cleanliness and metal-to-metal contact)
  • Battery junction box (BJB) fuses F127 (5A), F117 (20A), F127 (5A).
  • Central junction box (CJB) fuse F227 (10A) F211 (15A), F216 (15A), F226 (10A) (wagon only)

  1. If the fault is not visually evident, proceed to diagnose the integrated control panel (ICP) by entering the ICP Self-Diagnostic Mode.
ICP Self-Diagnostic Mode
NOTE: To enter the ICP Self-Diagnostic Mode, the ICP must be ON and in radio tuner mode (AM/FM).
  1. Enter the diagnostic mode by pressing and holding preset buttons 3 and 6 simultaneously. This will suspend all radio functions, and display SP.
  1. Preset Button 1 = Audio internal/external SELF TEST. The display will flash SELF while gathering the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), then stop flashing when complete. Press the TUNE UP button to display the DTCs if any exist. Record codes and refer to the following table:

ICP SELF-TEST CODES Code Description 0 No diagnostic trouble codes logged 1 No response from rear chassis unit (RCU) 2 No response from cassette player 3 - 4 No response from compact disc player 5 - 6 - 7 No response from remote climate control 8 - 9 Read Only Memory Verification failed
  1. Preset Button 2 = Displays the feature strap for code identification, refer to the following table.

  1. Preset Button 3 = ICP and RCU identification. This test identifies the software level of the ICP and RCU. The ICP is tested first, followed by the RCU. The display will have two sequences of three codes each. The first sequence is for the ICP, the second sequence is for the RCU. For code identification, refer to the following table:

Tempstar air handler model #nfcp2400c2 with 5kw heat strip someone has installed a contactor on inside and taken the control board out is there anyway to bypass board to use as a straight cooling only...

Yes, you need a tstat, a contactor, and a transformer.
Contactor runs the fan, transformer sends the low voltage to the tstat. Tstat turns on contactor for fan and compressor for cooling

Hi Team , is a 2003 HD F250 7.3 auto 4wd has a really bad oil leak from around the injector pump or under it ?? any suggestions and also require a full service manual for same , look forward to your...

Hi, Since it is an '03 model year, there is a ICP sensor located at the back of the engine that are known to blow causing ICP issues. The other obvious symptom would be an oil leak at the top rear of the engine running down to the bottom of the bellhousing. Branch tube internal leaks usually occur only on 2005 to 2007 model years. Another thing to look for, is the tops of the injectors. Some early model years were prone to loose the injector circlips at the tops of the injectors, also causing an ICP (injector control pressure) leak.
You cannot get to manual free online. You have to contact Haynes (1-800-242-4637) manual to request for the service manual.

I have a Comfortmaker heat pump and ICP air handler-FPC3600-with 20kw back up heat. I replaced thermostat because the old one had been hit along the way and was pretty flaky. Last night the temp outside...

Did you keep notes or remember all the stat wires and terminals? 20kw should heat your home very well. Has the unit heated the house good after you changed the thermostat?

Codes 2001 f350 7.3

Code p1280 is a low or high fuel pressure code. To check that, you need to first check the icp sensor connector drivers side cylinder head front. The sensor is located between the valve cover and the block. Try wiggling the connector while the truck is running to see if there is a change in the running of the engine such as stumbling.

Code p1211 means the ICP pressure is above or below specs meaing there is a high pressure oil concern. You need to monitor the ICP with a scan tool and see which it is. If its high then its most likely a faulty IPR valve. If its low then its most likely a internal leak at the pump or stand pipes.

Code p1139 is for a Water in Fuel Indicator Circuit Malfunction. I would check the wiring on this sensor, and if no issues come from wiring, replace this indicator sensor.

WHERE IS THE IPR LOCATED ON THE ENGINE ?

The "IPR" is and Injector Pressure Regulator. It is a Solenoid used to control the oil pressure created by the High Pressure Oil Pump. The IPR is capable of regulating oil pressure from 0 to 5000 psi. On an 05 6.0l the IPR is located in rear, top, center of the engine in the High pressure oil pump. It can be identified by its gold color. It sticks out of the side of the pump pointing toward the driver side of the truck. It has a 2 wire plug that is held on by a metal clip. usually the ipr and plug are protected in a heat shield so you may not be able to see it right away. Some people mistake and IPR for and ICP. The ICP is a sensor that tells the PCM what the High oil pressure is. ICP stands for Injector Control Pressure. This sensor is located in the passenger side valve cover on and 04, 05 6.0l and in the top of the High pressure oil pump on an 03 6.0l.
