SOURCE: My sewing machine is not sewing stitches

That is irritating! Singer has your manual; check out: http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html

I believe it costs $15.00.

Happy sewing!

SOURCE: When i start to sew

There has to be a problem in your threading or your needle. You may have the needle inserted backwards, flat side has to face rear or the needle is bent. Totally unthread your machine and make sure that there are no tangles and that it feeding the right way. Watch how they show your for threading and winding the bobbin, plus threading the bobbin. Good luck, but I truly think it is in your threading.

This is for the Janome D'cor Excel Pro 5124:

Which should be similar to the ohter model number you mention.
Hope this helps!

SOURCE: janome machine probs

try a ballpoint or a stretch stitch needle, that what I use when sewing
knit, t-shirt. it doesn't break the fiber in the fabric.

I have been given janome 525s the material not feeding through the foot. Unless i pull material it wont move

Make sure the feed dogs have not been dropped, ie for darning or free motion quilting. Also, make sure the stitch length is set high enough to actually create a forward stitch.

Does my Janome Sewist 521 model require oiling?

One drop of oil under the bobbin case in the center of the hook, on the wick. Your machine doesn't need oiled like a vintage machine. Taking it in for service once a year is plenty.

Stitch width

Could you be bumping it while sewing? Have someone watch while you sew. Otherwise, assuming this is a newish machine, I'd complain to Janome customer service and tell them it's been in for repair 3x and you'd like a replacement machine. You may need to be persistent, but I would definitely ask for that if I were in your shoes.

Where does the oil go in a Janome 521 Sewist machine, what type of oil & how much do I use? Thank you.

Check your manual, some modern machines do not require oiling and will be damaged by doing so

Does janome sewist 500 sewing machine need oiling? The manual does not say anything about it.

probably has wicks then thatthe mechanic will lubricate during service. the manual will probably say to have it serviced annually and to brush out the bobbin area often. this is important as lint will build up.

I am interested in buying a Janome 525 but want to know if it has a built in overlocker

A sewing machine and an overlocker are two completly different things, but a sewing machine is usually able to do a cover stitch. An overlocker will cut the fabric at the same time, a sewing machine cannot do this.

Can't find my manual for old Janome sewer model 372 since I shifted house. Can I buy/beg/ steal one from somewhere?

Hi
I looked on the Janome site and couldn't find a manual for this model, even in their retired machines section!
Looking at the picture above, I think your machine is most like the 521. Here's a link to a partial manual for the 521 from the Janome site.
http://www.janome.com/documents/File/ManualFile/Sewist521.pdf
If it is not similar enough to your machine, go to the Janome homepage at www.janome.com and use the drop down menu marked machines. Browse through the various categories of machine until you come to one that most resembles your machine. Click on the link for that machine and then click on specifiaction and you should see a pdf icon and a download manual button to download a manual for your chosen machine. Hope this helps!
