I bought a dell latitude but it was password protected and i dont have it any suggestion

I'd put Linux on it.

UBUNTU link

That computer is about 5 years old. Linux works very well with old computers.
Takes up less space, uses less processor power to run, and comes with free versions of pretty much everything.

I don't even think a current version of windows will install on a 5 year old Dell. So you'd be stuck with out of date anti-virus and no updates.

Boot off the Ubuntu disk and just wipe windows.

Built in mouse has not worked properly from day 1. Now my external mouse won't work either. I tried a different external moue, but it doesn't work either.

Unplug everything except the power cord, including the following:

Speakers
Printers
Scanners
USB devices
Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs)
USB flash drive or other external storage devices
External Monitor
External Keyboard
External Mouse
If your computer is attached to a docking station, undock it.

Make sure the touchpad or your finger has no dirt, grease, liquids or food on it (the touchpad has to make a good contact with your finger to work correctly).

Turn the computer back on and retest the touchpad.

When the touchpad still does not work correctly proceed to step 5.

When the touchpad does work correctly, attach one external device at a time and test the touchpad to see which one may have caused the issue.

Make sure the latest driver for the touchpad is installed (you may need to use a external USB or Bluetooth mouse), for more information refer to:

My acer mouse model number mg-0919 stops working after about 2 minutes. I have to turn the mouse off then back on. This happens constantly. What is going on? Is it defective? My mouse is under...

I had the same problem. This mouse came with my Acer Revo which was still under warranty. Tech support basically says to check the obvious (batteries, USB connection, RF interference). Their obviously canned answer goes on to detail a manual reconnect procedure that does not apply to this model. And when all else fails, get a new mouse.
This is what Acer tech support emailed me:
If you are experiencing issues with your wireless mouse not working properly, perform the following steps to troubleshoot the wireless mouse.

1) Ensure that the receiver is 8-inches from other electrical devices. Avoid placing the cordless devices on metallic surfaces.

2) Verify that the USB connector from the receiver is properly plugged into a USB port on the computer. Try plugging the receiver into a different USB port to ensure that the USB port is working properly.

3) Remove the batteries and then reinsert the batteries into the mouse, making sure that the battery polarities are correct.

4) Test the batteries to ensure that they still have a charge.

5) Try the manual connect procedure.

Manual connect procedure:

1) Press and release the Connect button on the receiver.

2) Within 30 seconds, press and release the Connect button on the mouse.

If the issue persists, we can replace your computer's wireless mouse.

We will ship the new wireless mouse within 3-5 business days.

Before placing an order for wireless mouse we would like to confirm the following.

1) Complete shipping address:

2) email address:

3) phone number:

In order to place an order for wireless mouse, the computer must be registered.

Wireless mouse stopped working. it does not work after 2 wks. of use.

Try the following:

1. Change the batteries.
2. Hold the connect button on the wireless USB adapter and the connect button underneath the mouse at the same time for five (5) seconds and release them both.
3. If you get the same problem, try connecting the USB receiver into another USB ports of the computer.
4. Try different computer.

If same problem occurs after following the steps above, then you may need to contact the manufacturer of the wireless mouse and have them repair it for you.

Have a good day!

MU203 mouse not working

Replace the batteries and try this.
Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it to Reset/Connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly.
If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud
