At random times my old maytag dishwasher starts flashing and counting down from 50. It stops on it's own and I am able to use it. why does it do that?

Try pressing heated wash, heated dry, then heated wash, heated dry. It should reset it. Also try pressing and holding the cancel button for 5 seconds to see if that works if the other doesnt.

The dishwasher lights are all blinking, it starts randomly, like one in every 50 times you press the buttons. I have unplugged it to reset several times. Nothing is working. I'm looking for a solution to blinking lights and it not starting. is there any other way to reset the controls????

Unfortunately that indicates a control module problem. Only fix is to replace that
