With the Black and deckers, I think you just take the blade off and turn it over. That wil direct the grass clippings down into the ground.

The straight blade for the 42 inch mower is 138971.They cut better and are easier to sharpen and you will need them if you use a gass catcher. If you do not want to use sears for parts you may be able to find good deals on ebay.

How do I adjust mower to mulch position

That question requires a lot more info; what kind of mower, push or riding, how big in inches is the deck. Does it have a bag? But typically, the blade is what will do the mulching. Make sure you have a mulching blade. If you have a bag, take it off and ensure the chute where the grass comes out is closed so the grass does not get thrown out from underneath the deck. I hope this helps with the info provided

Replacement grass catch bag for Black & Decker mm600 electric mower

It appears that you will need to contact the service center as in your parts diagram, the bag is not listed. A mulching blade is listed, which doesn't require the use of a bag.

To mulch my grass clippings, do I have to use the side discharge or can I simply remove the bag and insert the rear plug?

Insert the rear plug if mulching is desired. The key to mulching is to mow the lawn frequently. You want to keep the mower deck height high enough to cut the grass and allow the mulching blades to work, but just low enough to actually cut the grass in a smooth uniform height. To low of a cut setting will clog the mower and create a mess. 2 times a week is a good frequency to start with.

How do you change from bag to mulch?

You will need your model number. Go to www.toro.com. Put in your model number.
I know there is a plug you can put in the chute and it will turn it into a mulcher. Without your model number, I was not able to come up with a part number for you.
Good Day.

I need to change the blade, but am unable to loosen the nut holding the blade in place. the nut and square spacer underneath move together.

you need impact gun.air or electric operated impact, run it reverse. it shouldn't be loose like that. i am guessing the armature drop could be the ring is out of the armature groove. ring are located inside the motor assy.

Craftsman 6.5 lawnmower

The bag return on the 6.5 sits on two hooks. Standing to the left of the mower you should be able to grab the back handle with your left hand and then left the metal protective flap with your left hand so you can raise the bag assembly still in your right hand up and out of the two hooks. You'll then need to put back into the mower the mulching kit which blocks the rear discharge and makes the underside of the mower a complete circle so the mulching effect works. Obviously the mower will physically work without the mulching kit because the metal protective flap will cover the rear eject but it will NOT effectively mulch the clippings and you will get longer pieces that clump.

Hope this listing isn't too late to help.

Saw your post about Black and Decker MM525 Lawn Mower

Most lawn mower mfgs offer a mulching kit which usually consists of a metal plate to block the discharge opening and a mulching blade which just has a longer sharpenned cutting edge.
With a little labor you can make your own.
