SOURCE: Program a cashier onto a Casio TK 7000

It should be the 05 file on that machine so you just add the cashier number in front of the file number (105 for cashier 1, 205 for cashier 2 etc). So go to program 2 then use the 05 code as I've said to edit the text. The text entry procedure is shown in the manual so just run through that to familiarise yourself. If you don't have the text entry information in your manual, then you have the wrong one. You need this one:

Why does it clear cashier names when do a z read at end of day . How do I set it so it saves all details and z dosnt clear everytjong till is a casio te 100

They don't get deleted. It just means you haven't signed on as that operator. It saves paper by only printing cashiers that have made sales that day

Reprogramed tax after initializing Sharp ER-A330 now will not accept any sntry

I believe the ER-A330 has a Cashier # button - it should be labeled CASH #. It has to have a cashier signed on to ring a sale. Most owners forget that, because the same cashier stays signed in all the time, and nobody uses the button. If I'm right, all you have to do is this (in REG mode):
[CL] 1 [CASH #]
and start ringing your sale. The CL was to clear the error condition, if it was in one. 1 CASH # assigned Cashier #1 to the register.
The reason the register has the button is so it can track sales totals for each employee or shift. The register can be programed to stick with one cashier until another is signed on, or it can force you to sign on for every sale. At the end of the day it can print the normal Z totals by touching the CA/AT key, and touching the CASH# key gives totals for each cashier, I think.
Initializing the register cleared the cashier assignment and got you into the predicament. Touching the CASH # key twice will also clear the cashier assignment, as will resetting the Cashier totals with a Z reading. In any of those cases, just go back to REG and touch 1 CASH# again (or a different number if you want to sign on a different cashier).

NOT ASSIGNED CODE

NOT ASSIGNED means no cashier is signed on. Find the cashier number button, probably labeled CASH #. In REG mode, press CL to clear the error, then 1, then CASH #, and Cashier 1 will be assigned. The display will show -01- Go straight from here into your sale.
Some registers are set up to not show the cashier number on the display or receipt. If 1 CASH # doesn't work, try CASH #, 1, CASH #.
Most users don't track sales by cashiers, so they forget they even have the capability, and they forget how to use that CASH # key. If you press the CASH # button without entering a number, it will sign out the active cashier, and you'll get this NOT ASSIGNED error.

I have a Samsung SER-6540 II register. An error occurred that locked it up. I am not sure what the clerk did. I unplugged and turned the key to "P" and held down "Cash" key to clear. Now the register reads...

Ok. that's good. You have performed an initial reset that does not lose any data. You must log back on after an initial reset. <div>Find the button marked clerk, clk#, cashier, cash# or similar. This is your log on button. Now type a clerk code (default is 1) then press the cashier button.</div> <div><br /></div> <div>-------------------------------------------------------------------------</div> <div><br /></div> <div>If anyone needs a Samsung SER-6500II or SER-6540II manual, c-tech has them here:</div> <div><br /></div> <div><a href="http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Samsung2.php">http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Samsung2.php</a></div>

In Sharp registers, Error 32 means no cashier is signed on. It should be just a matter of touching 'CL' to clear the error, then '1' "CASH #" to sign on as Cashier 1. Go straight from there to entering a sale.
Sharp allows a program option to force signing on before every sale, but it's not the default. Somebody probably accidentally signed off by touching the CASH # button without a number.
Another program option which probably doesn't apply here is to hide the cashier code, putting only dashes or stars on the display & receipts. In that case you have to enter CASH # [code] CASH # to sign on.
