Sounds like it is going into guardian mode or the volvo equivalent. It may be running too hot. Check your water pump, intake and seastrainer.

First check the switch-- does it have power, then check the solenoid to see if it works-- there are two. One is for down, One is for up. If you get power from the solenoid-- outgoing-- check connections going to pump motor.

2006 Volvo Penta 5.0 GL blows the 50 amp breaker and no power to the trim motor! I checked and removed wiring harness did not find any issues. I replaced both trim relays and looked at the key switch.

Question moved to a Volvo Penta Marine category from Cars.

Check the starter motor and solenoid for a dead short. It would take something big to blow the 50 amp fuse.

I have a 4-cylinder Volvo Penta aq130 a will not pump water has brand new impeller

There are number of pumps, but this one has a half moon keyway in the shaft, does yours have it fitted, otherwise the shaft would turn, but the impeller wouldn't.

2002 Monterey with an 8.1 liter Volvo Penta running in it. I ran the boat about 6 hours over 2 days. When I was finished there was some oil in the water in he engine compartment. What could that be.

check engine oil seals , or you make a engine service oil change recently and squirm out the engine , also check the oil filter is tight , Maybe water comes from outside when navigating
