Check that you set it to Pro logic and check the speaker set-up. Set it to 5.1 Sounds like somthing is in the wrong setting.

SOURCE: Klipsch subwoofer doesn't work with Pioneer receiver

Make sure the subwoofer is hooked up correctly and powered. Also, be sure to make sure the subwoofer is turned on in the Head Unit's settings which can usually be accessed via a button on the face of the Head Unit.

Either the sub woofer speaker or the sub woofer amplifier section circuit has the fault. Contact any service technician to make diagnosis the faulty section. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

I have a pioneer XV-EV9 when i open it and play music there is no sound coming out from the speaker.

“no sound coming out from the speaker” Choose radio to see if sound produces from speakers. If no, check switching control (control which signal is inputted such as radio, CD and aux.)IC & its voltage as well as voltage & power amp, including their voltage supply. Don't forget to download pioneer XV-EV9 service manual. If it have a DSP, it is also need to be checked by an oscilloscope including DSP X'tal(crystal) signal I/O,clock signal such as, L/Rclock(LRCL), bit clock(BCK),audio clock(ACK), DATA I/O.

I have the pioneer vsx d606s stereo receiver connected to my cd player and I barely hear the tweezers when I play any music. Is this from the d606s or my speakers?

Hello Yokow, do a simple test, connect another set of speakers to the Pioneer team, if you see the high pitched sounds, the problem is in the speakers, in the same way, test the speakers on another equipment and listen to the result, there you will know where it is the problem
Greetings Franco Dosil

No sound out of the pioneer vsx-1121-k

Hello,
Try removing all the speaker and the HDMI connections; then use a headphone to listen to music from the tuner or a CD in stereo mode. Better in direct mode. If you hear your music correctly the receiver could be working correctly. If no music is heard, you may need to have it repaired professionally.
If you can hear music, connect the main FL & FR speakers and verify you can hear music that way, without the headphone connected.
If you can hear music that way, connect the center and rears. Try a mode that uses all channels to verify all sound channels are working.
Then, and only then start adding your HDMI connections.
Good luck

Is only playing mono when listening to music

It sounds like an error in the wiring of the speakers. Check that very closely.

Rear speakers on vsx1122 not playing, they tested okay

Manually change your surround settings for your satellite box input. Your box may not be putting out a signal that the receiver auto-detects as a surround sound signal, thus it just plays in stereo.

When i play music cd all speakers work but when put a dvd on only the 2 front ones and centre speaker goes? Tried all settings. Y are my 2 surround sound speakers not working? I have a pioneer vsx-816...

What is happening is the the pioneer is set up so that you can choose how you listen to your DVDs. So first you must see how your DVD is connected via the audio. I am fairly sure that the Default on the Pioneer is to play it through the standard stereo if all you have plugged in is the left and right audio plugs. If you buy an optical cable or a plug in the Digital Coax out put to the pioneer receiver, then the pioneer will decode the sound and out put true surround sound. Some DVD players don't have a digital out put, but these are the cheapest ones out there. If yours doesn't have a digital out put, then you need to get one that does. They can be purchased for as little as 39.00.

Okay lets assume you bought a DVD player with Digital out put for audio and you have it connected to the receiver. Now, you have to change the mode on your pioneer to let it know that your audio is coming in DIgital when you select the DVD. (Though this may already be the case and you won't have to do anything once you connect it.)
