That is a good ideal Lynda. I have no experience with those headphones so my ideas/troubleshooting is just general. Can you try them on another device? Are you sure you have them plugged into the correct jack on the TV? Are the headphones and adapter fully charged or have fresh batteries? There is the possibility that they are defective. I also use a set of headphones from my TV - iLuv bluetooth headphones. I use them when I am on the treadmill.
all depends on the quallity and age of the transmitter, go to youtube ad type in the make and model of the transmitter and chances are someone there will have posted a video instruction for it...

Your wireless headphones work with input from the audio output to the device base. Connect this unit accordingly with the power for the unit. switch on the tv and set your headphones to the desired frequency to lock on. Hope you get this right. good day
