The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite R25-S3503 Series. I am trying to follow your instructions but I can't find the clip. How do you find the clips? is there any special trick to locating the clips and removing the keyboard?
    Thanks

You first remove the panel strip with the leds, located underneath the display. It is held by clips.
Behind the panel you find three screws, one in the middle, one for each side.
Remove the screws and slide keyboard out to find the memory.

You cannot see any clip because the clips are underneath the plastic panel. To remove the panel you press the panel on both sides and the first clips will come out , then you slide the panel on one side. This is for most Toshiba with memory underneath the keyboard.

T isn't that bad... The top strip comes right off if you pull up per the M400 manual. Unscrew the two keyboard screws and pull the keyboard (slowly) toward the monitor to give you some slack in the ribbon cable. Then fold the keyboard back over the touchpad. Unscrew the two screws holding down the metal panel in the middle where the keyboard is (be careful - they were very tight for me and I stripped one of the screws).

Put in your DDR2 4200 memory and be off and away...

You remove the second cover and that is where the ram is located.Ram is under the keyboard.
