SOURCE: Kenmore Elite Oasis Dryer 6705 not start

I take the timed approach with appliance problems. If they occur 10 years after purchase, I buy a new one. If five years, I call a repair service and measure the cost of repair against the purchase of a replacement. If one year or less after purchase, I pile the expensive, offending, useless lump of an example of the decline of American workmanship into the back of my pickup and push it out on the doorstep of the store where I purchased it.

I find this method to be the most cost-effective and least troubling. And costs me about the same as calling the repair service.

In fact, right now I'm loading up my Kenmore Elite Oasis 6705, purchased March 13, 2007, (note that the problem began one month AFTER the warranty ran out) in the back of my pickup and I will make at quick stop at Sears to push it off the back of my truck (I find if I don't stop, but keep the truck rolling it makes for a much louder and attention grabbing drop off) then find the nearest hardware store so I can purchase some strong nylon line to string across my backyard so I can dry my clothes. I also purchase a bit of extra line so that I have enough to string up any Sears or Kenmore representatives who might stop by to inquire about the appliance they found on their doorstep.

SOURCE: Circuit breaker location

I have 2004 1/2 700 sportsman that had the same problem. The circuit breaker is in front of the handle bar, under the plastic cover. you will have to remove front luggage rack if you have one. Look at the wire harness and locate a plastic sealed rectangular holder about 3 inches long. It is automaticly reset when it cools down.
I kept having power loss that could be restored by tapping on the plastic holder.
I cut it open and found the connections corroded on the 20 amp circuit breaker inside. Seal plastic up if you cut it open to keep it from shorting out and to keep moisture out.

Gateway NV5378u lap top, brand new battery installed and status says 100% charged. When I unplug the computer it shuts off as if there is no battery. Could the new battery be defective?

There are a few things to check. The LED lights can tell you a lot. This will tell you more about the battery:
  1. On the taskbar, double-click the power cord icon or battery icon to open the Power Meter dialog box. Note: If the power cord icon or battery icon does not appear on the taskbar, click the show hidden icons button.
  2. Press Fn+STATUS to view the power status box, which opens in the upper-left corner of the screen. The power status box shows the current power source, the battery charge level, and the power management mode.
  3. Look at the battery charge indicator (if applicable).
    • LED green - Battery is fully charged.
    • LED orange - Battery is charging.
    • LED blinking red - Battery charge is very low.
    • LED solid red - Battery is malfunctioning. Note: This LED only lights up when the notebook is connected to AC power.
  4. Press the battery meter button on the battery. The battery meter lights indicate the percentage of battery charge remaining.
  5. Wait for a Low Battery warning message to appear.
If your battery charge indicator displays what looks like an inaccurate charge, you may need to recalibrate the battery.

To recalibrate the battery as mentioned, try this:
  1. Connect the AC adapter and then turn on the notebook.
  2. As soon as it starts and you see a startup screen, press the F2 key.
  3. In the BIOS Setup utility, use the TAB key to select the Advanced menu.
  4. On the Advanced menu, select Battery Auto Learning, and then press the SPACEBAR to select Enabled.
  5. Use the RIGHT ARROW key to select the Exit menu. On the Exit menu select Exit Saving Changes, and then press ENTER.
  6. At the Setup Confirmation prompt, select Yes, and then press ENTER.
  7. The battery recalibration process begins and a screen opens showing you the progress.
  8. When the recalibration has finished, and the message "Press [Esc] key to exit" appears, press Esc. The battery charge indicator now displays an accurate battery charge.

Hope this helps!!

I need help with a ps3 polaroid wired controller it wont connect

Hi,
How do you connect it, wired or wireless? Check these settings out.
Make sure the Power Save Settings are turned off: XMB > Settings > Power Save Settings > Controller Auto-Off > Off

If the Power Save Settings were on, then that was your problem. The controller only charges for 5 minutes and then turns off. That is not long enough for the controller to charge. Turning the Power Save Setting off will allow the controller to charge correctly.

If the Power Save Setting is not on, then do a Reset (http://faqsmedia.ign.com/faqs/image/arti... ) on the controller, then connect with the USB cable and press the PS button. If this doesn't work, then I would say the controller is going dead, and you are in need of a new one (make sure to actually press the Reset button, sometimes it can be missed if you are using something too small, like a needle).

How do i turn it on? I lost the manual. I tried the "m" button and the "play" button. But it wont work. And i charged it/

Hello,

The MP300 uses one not rechargeable AAA battery, that will not be charged when connecting to the USB port of a computer.

When the player has abnormal behaviour, RESET the player as next:
1. Disconnect your player if it is connected to a
computer.
2. Remove the battery from the player. Wait 10
seconds, and then replace the battery.
3. Power ON the player, push the play/pauze/stop button >|| .
note
Check the correct polarity + and - of the battery matching the player.
Try a new battery when the RESET won't work.

To switch ON the player, press the play/pauze/stop button >|| .
For switching OFF, press the >|| button for at least 3 seconds.

There's a manual for the MP300 on this site:
http://www.cobyusa.com/files/manuals/MP300_MN.pdf : pdf files can be read with Adobe Reader.

Sandisk mp3 freezes

Try and reset the player. Reset the player: 1. Slide and hold the Power switch up for approximately 20 seconds. 2. Release the Power switch. 3. To turn the player on, slide the Power switch up then release instantly. Then try this Connect the player to your computer. The screen on your player should turn on, show 'Connected' and indicate the battery charging or full. - If the player does not turn on try other USB ports or on another computer if one is available. Make sure you are connecting directly to the computer USB port and not to a USB hub. - If there is nothing showing on the screen and the player does show up in as a storage device in an explorer window, then the players screen is just not working. If you receive the error "USB Device Not Recognized" on the computer, the player is most likely failed. Additional troubleshooting is unlikely to correct the problem. <<<<< BUT TRY THIS ALSO >>>>> Check the Device Manager 1. Right-click My Computer, and select -- > Manage. Click Device Manager on the left pane. NOTE: Sansa MP3 Players can connect to your computer in MSC or MTP mode.
