Most likely the money will need to be returned, unfortunately, due to the arrival date, despite your notification of the government.

Jean's advice is excellent, as always.

Hello, Nina -

My condolences on the passing away of your father.

Fixya.com receives questions from people from all over the world. I hope I am correct in guess that your father was a Canadian citizen. If so . . .

I suggest you contact the Canadian Pension Plan directly (by phone will be best) and speak with a real person and ask your questions.

See the CPP contact information here:
https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/corporate/contact/cpp.html

Note: Fixya.com is a website intended for asking and answering questions on how to go about repairing things. Personal opinion: For your kind a question, I think it is best to contact the appropriate agency directly.

I am answering from the USA.

Best wishes.

My father died a year ago, municipal account is in his name. How do we change the name to my mothers name?

Hello, Monni -

I am guessing you reside in South Africa. Fixya.com receives questions from people worldwide. I am answering from the USA.

Since I have no idea where your father resided before he passed away, I am unable to direct you to the correct municipal government website.

Since you know where he resided, I suggest you look up the telephone number for the municipal government where your mother now lives, make a telephone call during weekday office hours, and ask to be connected to the proper government agency so that the account can be changed to your mother's name.

Note: Fixya.com is a website intended for asking and answering questions on how to go about REPAIRING THINGS.

I chose to answer your question as a kindness.

Best wishes.

Did trump fix the water issue in flint michigan?

Separation of powers that governs the US puts such local issues out of bounds of the federal government and outside the authority of the executive branch.
Attempts for federal control and "help" are unconstitutional and dangerous.
The founding fathers warned of power accumulated in the federal government and attempted to prevent it. Current issues with lRS blocking tax status of conservative groups and politicization of the FBl prove that the founders were right on this topic.
