I suspect that the 3 month unlimited calls worldwide is only valid for new customers.
You will have to contact skype directly to get them solve the problem.
all I can suggest without being related to skype in anyway is to cancel your account or cancel the charge on your credit card. Then possibly use another credit card or for example your wifes details instead so that they don't revert back to your old account.

You are entitled by law, especially under duress, to write to thefinance institutions explaining your situation and asking for a suspension ofinterest and a renegotiation of payments. They will never tell you this as theysee it as a way of you getting out of the loan. Search the internet for thedebt management services here in Australia. I'm sure you will find the rightpeople who can help you.
