My refridgerator stopped producing ice and water. I replaced the ice maker, the water pump, and the circuit board behind he water and ice dispenser. It now dispenses water with no one around. Help?

There should be a plastice hinge cover on the left top hinge on freezer door. Take it off and press the plug together firmly. Try that and let me know, Sea Breeze

There are two possible reasons.
1) Check the main circuit board (Mostly on back side of refrigerator)
2) Check the circuit board behind the dispenser control.

This boards are available online and its user replaceable. If you are handyman you can even fix the boards(Replacing Diode/capacitors) if minor problems are there.

My kenmore started dispensing ice and water for no reason. After unplugging, I removed the cover from ice/water dispenser and discovered a burnt circuit board. Leave the board unplugged until you can obtain a good circuit board.

If both have stopped working - it is likely the controller board that has failed.

The plastic trimring around the outside lip of the fountain is just snapped into place.

Start at a corner and gently pry it off.
Then there will be screws holding the assembly in place.

You will find the board behind the fountain.

If your ice maker has stopped producing ice completely, check these, in this order:

• It may be turned off. Look for the wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If the wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. If so, try one of these:
  
  
  • If your ice maker has a small red plastic lever, lower it to lower the wire.
    
    
  • If there's no plastic lever, simply lower the wire.
    
    
  In either case, the ice maker should begin producing ice again. Also make sure that the temperature is 8 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. If the freezer is too warm, the ice maker won't cycle properly.
  
  
• The ice maker fill tube may be blocked with ice. If so, melt the blockage using a hair dryer-but be careful to not melt any plastic parts! Also replace the water shut-off valve or water-inlet valve, or both, if necessary.
  
  
• The ice maker head assembly may have broken parts. Look to see if the gears are broken. Check to see if the small plastic arms that rest against the ice rake are broken. If the ice maker head assembly is modular and you've found broken parts, you can just replace it.

Then remove the water line from the back of the refrigerator. Next, place the water line into a bucket and momentarily turn the water valve back on to test the flow. If the flow is poor, you need to repair, clean, or replace the tubing or the shut-off valve that supplies the water. If the flow is good, you may have to replace the water inlet valve.

There's an ice- or water-dispensing problem The ice and water-dispensing system of your refrigerator is quite complex. Many components work together to provide the ice and water. Aside from a simple problem of a leaky water tube or a jammed ice chute, most other components are not user serviceable.
