Frigidaire Fridge Model # FRS26HF7BB0. Fridge is making a low buzzing noise every few minutes for a few (15?) seconds. Freezer is losing coldness - temp inside freezer is reading 30 degrees. Vacuumed the coils and grill and turned the coldness up on the freezer about an hour ago. Still buzzing/temp still reading 31 degrees. Help!

That noise is typical when the compresor is trying to start but it doesn't , it could be the condensing fan motor that doesn't work and the compresor goes off on overload ; a common problem with this compresors is the relay (mounted at the side of the compresor behind a black plastic cover) goes bad , this you can replace is about $20 , and if still the compresor won't start you will need to put another one and this is an expensive job.

Started making a loud buzzing noise. Have tried unplugging it and turning it off and on.

Good Morning Denise, thank you for your inquiry!
From the information you have provided your Frigidaire freezer is making a buzzing noise and it will not stop. You may need to perform a reset on your freezer and you can do that by disconnecting the power cord for at least ten minutes. If the buzzing continues I would be happy to research your freezer further, in order to do so I would need your model number. You can locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) on the inside wall. Once I have that information I would be happy to help you further. -Matt

We have a Bosh KIM29473GB for some time water has been collecting in the bottom tray of the fridge and only takes a few days to fill up, this weekend the freezer stopped working and now nothing works.

If you hear a click every few minutes and a buzz / click then nothing, it would sound as if your compressor is gone, the water problem is the defrost drain pipe is blocked

Frigidaire fridge freezer not getting cold

Louise, this is a big area. I would switch off the fridge, look at the back where you see the" box things". You should see a timer which is white or black (wires comming out of it).. It has a short type of knob which can be turned manually clockwise.. Turn about a 1/4 turn then try and switch on again. If not, thermostat will be the problem. Assuming you never disrupted any wires.

Frigidaire Fridge/freezer works then doesn't work???

every 6-8 hrs your ref. goes into a defrost mode. sounds to me like your fridge is getting stuck in defrost, may want to replace defrost timer roughly 18-45.00 dollars depending were you live. also ive seen a few that the electrical cord in back were it goes into ref mid way up to the left behind cover can have some loose connections back their; remove panel covering and inspect. becuz if its the timer it wouldnt cause the light not to work so it may not be your timer if the light it turning off.also make sure your outlet is good and the prongs on power cord are not loose. hope this helps

My maytag Wide by Side refrigerator started making this buzzing noise coming from the freezer section every few minutes and now it no longer cools.

It is possible that the door was not closed tighly, so the humidity built up in the duct line and the low temperature from the freezer make it turned into ice causing the clogging. The Buzzing noise turns on due to the sensorsomewhre along the disigne path. Unplug the fridge for a day and a half so the the ice in the duct line could melt down then when you turn on the sensor won't turn on the buzzing any more. Good luck.

Frigidaire won't make ice & dispenses only about 4 oz. cold water

Water frozen in the freezer supply line - you need to thaw out the freezer. About six hours, door open, turn freezer OFF. You'll need a cooler with dry ice for your frozen food. 99% certain it'll work after that.

Buzzing compressor

heres a part number for the overload relay assy 5304468029.. its mounted on the side of compressor. its a tricky one, usually my experience has been the noise comes from a bad compressor( which you should have 5 year full warr from manufacture). sometimes the overload relay does go bad preventing compressor from starting, the n ew compressor will come with a new overload relay

When i switched the fridge on it was making a buzzing noise every few minutes kept it on for 24hrs but still did not freeze it was too warm have been changing the temp of it but still nothing . It was bought 2nd hand but was definitely working as it came from family.

How old is the appliance?
If the appliance is 10 years old or more you may not be advisable to put good money into bad!
New appliances are so much more efficient today that they can save you a lot of money in energy!!!!
You need a hands on tech for this repair!

You will be fine
