Hi there. Whenever I open Microsoft Word 2016 for an error message pops out saying that it is not able to start correctly. How to overcome this? I am hoping someone in this community could provide me with some answers. Thanks
If Microsoft Word starts as expected when you use the /s switch, "Safe Mode" appears in the Word title bar. If Word starts in Safe Mode, use a process of elimination to step through the following areas that Word bypasses in Safe mode, until the problem is corrected.
If Word does not start in Safe Mode, proceed to Method 2- microsoft word doc repair tool https://www.repairtoolbox.com/wordrepair.html

u click on start button on yr taskbar , click on run then type (msconfig) that is start>>run>>msconfig then click on ok. a window will come out then click on the startup option at the top then click on disable all which u see below then click on ok to restart ur system n ur don.

I just ran the Microsoft Office diagnostics and here was the result...my Office programs keep crashing because I have my HP printer set as the default printer. Here is exactly what the diagnostic told me...
"Temporary workaround available
This problem was caused by a known issue with your Hewlett-Packard printer
driver, which causes Microsoft Office 2007 programs to close unexpectedly when
your HP printer is set as the default printer. Hewlett-Packard is aware of the
problem and is working on a solution."
There solution is to set any other printer as the default printer instead of an HP...I hope this helps everyone.
