Capacitors on a air cond help in starting the motor and the compressor. If the capacitor is shorted or open, the motor or compressor will not work. Capacitors also keep the motors running. Most domestic airconds have a capacitor for the compressor and most condenser motors also have a smaller capacitor.
Air is directed by a module called a mod actuatorunder right hand side of dash. This module is told what to do by the heating and a/c controller on the dash. one of them is not doing their job. or someone has dropped something down the vent and the mode door is jammed
Thanks for your detailed information. But solution is very simple. The compressor contactor in out door unit. Struck. And hence, when you power on, without indoor commanding, the out door starts running.
Replace same type Contactor relay (In out door unit) immediately. Hope, it's helpful.
Sounds like a common problem I have found with Samsung mini split unit. When powering on, does the internal blower attempt to start, then the unit stops and lights blink? If so, on the circuit card there is a 1.2uf or 1.5uf (CBB61) that probably has gone bad. I have replaced several of these. Good luck.
Sorry don't have a solution for your problem, but I've got one that you may be able to help me with My Remote control, for which I have no user manual, seems to be locked and the buttons won't do anything. I have noticed a key symbol in the bottom right corner and cas only assume it is locked. Anyone know how I can unlock it? Cheers.
