Hello,If the refrigerator is not getting cold, you need to answer some question.
1. check if the compressor is running.
2. Is the thermostat knob turn to the proper setting?if not reset it. then see if the compressor motor is running. The compressor is a football-sized case with no apparent moving parts,it's on the outside of the refrigerator at the back near the bottom. If it is humming or making a continuous noise and your refrigerator is still not cooling, there may be a more serious problem with one or more of these components.
1. The compressor
2. Thermostat
3. The overload, relay, or Capacitor
4. The defrost timer
5. The condenser fan motor.

SOMETIMES THE THERMOSTAT STICKS TURN IT ON AND OFF A COUPLE OF TIMES YOU MAY UNSTICK IT OTHERWISE YOU NEED TO REPLACE IT

Tap on the thermostat and if the refrig comes on , replace the thermostat .

Sounds like the thermostat is bad . Without the complete model number , including the first 3 numbers , such as 110. , 106. , 253. etc , I can't tell you how to access it . If you can get access on your own , jump the 2 wires connected to the thermostat , and see if the compressor cuts on . If so , replace the thermostat .

. Cut everything off for a few minutes then turn it back on and listen for a click from the compressor relay as the compressor tries to start.
Is the compressor motor running.If no check starter/overload relay.
Check to see if the condenser fan at the back underneath near the compressor is running. If no check fan.

Are the condenser coils near there warm or room temp. should be warm

Your battery needs to be replaced. make sure you fully charge the new one and completly drain it before charging it again. don't interupt the charging till its full that will shorten the life of your battery consiterably!
