TRY REMOVING THE MAGAZINE PLUG SCREW (WATCH OUT FOR THE SPRING!) TRY HOLDING THE MAGAZINE PLUG SCREW WITH YOUR HAND AS YOU REMOVE IT SO THE SPRING DOESN'T COME FLYING OUT. REMOVE THE SPRING AND TRY CLOSING THE LEVER. IF IT NOW CLOSES THAT WAS YOUR PROBLEM. REASSEMBLE THE SPRING AND SCREW AND YOUR PROBLEM IS SOLVED. IT THIS DOESN'T WORK LET ME KNOW AND MAYBE I CAN COME UP WITH SOMETHING ELSE.
SOURCE: what height mount/rings do I need to mount this
low mount rings should clear with about 4mm clearance.
measure from bottom of mount to bottom of scope, that is the clearance you need in the mount from the bottom of the ring. Drop by a gunshop if you are not sure, take rifle with you, then you can trial fit till you find the lowest that will clear. The lower the scope the, the closer to the center bore, the longer the flat spot/intersection plane.
