hi have you tried putting a cd cleaner in it because over time the lens which reads the cd can become dusty making it impossible for it to play hope this helps
Hello Check whether the inserted CD spins inside your unit or not. If it spins, and the set does not recogonize the disc, the laser pickup assembly has the trouble and should be replaced with same type and number. If it does not spins, the sled motor, the motor that spins the disc, is faulty and should be replaced. OK.
Insignia support page points directly to Broadcom's, when it comes to software updates for Windows. Take look here.
Hope it works for you.
Cheers!
Carlos
the laser lens is most likely dirty, you can either buy a cleaning disk, or take the unit apart enough to see the tiny lens, it will be close to the motor that spins the cd, use a fine cloth "not a wash rag or paper towel those will scratch!" use a eyeglasses cleaning cloth and gently wipe it in one direction. this should fix it unless the laser has gotten weak, but probably just dirty
have your put a new battery in your headphones. they show 10 hours of continuous play so the battery may be charged enough to pair but not to power the headphones. Change the batteries and try it.
Hi,
If u have been supplied with a driver cd u should probably try running the disc instead of sutomatic driver installation by vista.Or maybe u got the jacks mixed up.
check it out.
I bought this headset from Best Buy and it came with a usb dongle. I also lost the disc. Insignia's website is useless, and the Broadcomm update website is down at the time of this writing. After hours upon hours of scouring, I found a working driver, which works perfectly. This works on Windows XP, but I can't verify that it will work for Vista. I hope this helps you.
http://drivers.anycom.com/bluetooth/usb-200-250/anycom-bluetooth-usb200-250-windows-v5-1-0-4200.exe I will never buy Insignia products again because of their lack of driver support. Best regards,RobotJay
