Error
F-9 means:Door lock safety circuit on ERC sensed Replace the door latch assembly
To solve this...Just press and hold the door latch to unlock position and then press
cancel for a few seconds. The latch will return to its original position
This will probably fix it..but if doesnt work try this
Try unplugging the oven from the electrical power. May release the
lock, which is held in place by a tiny micro switch. If not and while
the electric is still off or the oven is unplugged, use a bright light
flashlight to look through the slot where the lock is in the oven, not
in the door.
You may be able to use a thin blade screwdriver to move the lock to the
release position. Check the angle of the lever. A slightly bent lever
handle also can cause this type of condition.
If all else fails, remove the access panel on the front of the oven to
access the locking device and release it. May have to disconnect the
wires to the lock which will allow door to function but not during any
self cleaning modes.

SOURCE: kitchenaid oven door will not stay closed
I had the same problem on my parents Kitchenaid KEMS378GWH0 oven, the door would only close enough to keep the light on. They propped a chair against it to cook. My father replaced the hinges and it worked for about a week. He noticed that pulling outward on the door at the very bottom edge often allowed it to close enough to use.
After completely dismantling the oven to get access to the brackets that the hinges slide into, we found it was not broken. We decided to expand on the only near solution we had and find a way to make the bottom of the door 'push out'. Our solution was very simple. Remove the small metal plate that covers the door insulation. This revealed that the insulation is a braided hollow rope that is held in by small clips that push through holes in the front of the oven. We threaded some small metal rods about 3/8 inch in diameter into the hollow insulation pushed the clips back in to re-attach the insulation, replaced the metal cover plate.
It worked!
SOURCE: Oven fan keeps running even after off and door open
3 to 4 hours is a long time. Get to the fans (behind the control panel) and check the screens for dust. Chances are the screens are clogged with dust and need to be cleaned so the fans can move air for cooling better. I had this problem on my GE JTP14, and after cleaning just one fan it can keep up with cooling the electronic area while the oven is running. It runs much less often.
Safety first! cut the breaker before removing anything with a nice conductive screwdriver! Hope this helps!
